Players will have the ability to train and catch pokemon while battling other trainers online in real-time. The POL game is closely based on the original Pokemon Gameboy games, with most of the traditional elements remaining intact. The POL enviroment is completely 2D and replicates the graphics used in the original games. The POL MMORPG has the ability to support hundreds and even thousands of simultaneously connected players. This means that you will interact in a vast virtual world, with many kingdoms and quests, with players from all over the world.
A massive, sinister gash in the fabric of our reality gnarls and churns, dominating the horizon as it blends into a permanently darkened sky.

Introduction

According to legend, when the ravens depart the Tower of London, it will crumble to rubble and disaster will befall England. As man became more dependent on science, ancient lore and rituals were lost to the antiquity of time.

Classes

Mankind is a race of survivors. A rebellious few survive in the shadows of their former dominance, combining the holy, ancient, and arcane rites with the fringe sciences of the modern era.

Demons

Emerging from the swirling chaos of the Hellgate, the demons overwhelmed humanity's defenses. The Hellgate writhes and seethes like a living thing, a tornado of eldritch energies through which the minions of the netherworld surge forth.
Some equipment can be modified through the introduction of various technological and magical elements, commonly called Mods. These Mods are typically integrated into pre-defined slots or hard points on an item through a simple procedure that can be performed by any adventurer.
It'll be playable in your browser with no downloadable client required. It utilizes Adobe's Shockwave Player, which most browsers already have installed.

When asked, what does the game closely resemble (because we all need comparisons, right?), I usually say it's an MMO Social Game with a bit of a mix of Nintendo's Animal Crossing and The Sims.

Every building you see in the above screen shots will be inhabited by players and you'll be able to do a variety of activities around town. We're implementing a very intuitive social system that hasn't been done before to our knowledge. I'm personally very excited about this game so far and I can't wait for players to get their hands on it.
Often touted as the "Spiritual successor to System Shock 2", BioShock is a long awaited fps in development by Irrational Games, with lead designer Ken Levine promising to advance the definition of first person shooters.

As a likely 2007 release grows closer more screenshots and trailers are being released, and one thing that's apparent is a gorgeous environment, seemingly inspired in great part by the art deco period of the last century.

Game overview and features as reported at the official site
BioShock is a revolution in the shooter genre that will forever change the expectations for the FPS. Going beyond "run and gun corridors," "monster-closet AIs" and static worlds, BioShock creates a living, unique and unpredictable FPS experience. BioShock is the Shooter 2.0.

After your plane crashes into icy uncharted waters, you discover a rusted bathysphere and descend into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea. Constructed as an idealistic society for a hand picked group of scientists, artists and industrialists, the idealism is no more. Now the city is littered with corpses, wildly powerful guardians roam the corridors as little girls loot the dead, and genetically mutated citizens ambush you at every turn.

Take control of your world by hacking mechanical devices, commandeering security turrets and crafting unique items critical to your very survival.

Upgrade your weapons with ionic gels, explosives and toxins to customize them to the enemy and environment.

Genetically modify your body through dozens of Plasmid Stations scattered throughout the city, empowering you with fantastic and often grotesque abilities.

Explore a living world powered by Ecological A.I., where the inhabitants have interesting and consequential relationships with one another that impact your gameplay experience.

Experience truly next generation graphics that vividly illustrate the forlorn art deco city, highlighted by the most detailed and realistic water effects ever developed in a video game.

Make meaningful choices and mature decisions, ultimately culminating in the grand question: do you exploit the innocent survivors of Rapture...or save them?

It simulates the complete history and future of life according the evolution theory. Its concept, scope, and development philosophy (broad use of procedural generation) has drawn wide attention.

Spore is, at first glance, a "teleological evolution" game or god game: the player molds and guides a species across many generations, growing it from a single-celled organism into a more complex animal, until the species becomes intelligent. At this point the player begins molding and guiding this species' society, progressing towards a spacefaring civilization. Spore's main innovation is the use of procedural generation for many of the components of the game, providing vast scope and open-endedness. Wright said "I didn't want to make players feel like Luke Skywalker or Frodo Baggins. I wanted them to be like George Lucas or J.R.R. The first public release (Episode One) will be available in Q3 of this year. It will include tracks set in Newtown as well as Cape Town (tracks include Camps Bay, the V&A Waterfront, and the dock area). Each city/location will consist of three tracks, and new cars will also be available as downloadable updates or as part of the next release. All of the MINI vehicles will eventually be available, including vintage MINI's and some hotted up MINI's like the GP and JCW.

There are two game modes: Arcade Mode will feature single races on any of the unlocked tracks, and Championship Mode will require players to compete through a series of tracks in Grand Prix style racing. Both game modes will be playable as single player or multiplayer experiences.
The rules will follow the role-playing rules and only vary in the conversion from a turn-based system to a real-time system. All conversions will be justified and will result in similar, if not identical behavior, if viewed in a turn-based time frame.

Physics, scale, and interactions will be of highest importance, followed by accurate input/output (i.e external hardware, see MechWarrior Combat Simulator Cockpit for more explanation), and with visual impressiveness being of lowest importance (i.e. I'm not starting out with beautiful models that don't interact with their environment correctly). Network multi-player is not a priority.

The initial project will cover the technology of 2550. It will start in the year 2550 and span to current time of 3070's. Since a game that size would be imposible to create in one shot, it will start with the range 2550 to 3025, a decline in technology. Each faction will be a separate add-on as will steps in time (3025-3050, 3050-3055, etc.). Clan will be an option, but only through participation in the Exodus.

The primary focus is a single-player game, multi-player is a separate function with the possibility of tying the two together with Solaris VII. The game will be comprised of a multi-generational character (obvious given the time frame). The game will be a collection of campaigns, divided into battles. Progress through the game will present options to the user allowing them to shape their destiny. What type of creature are you,
Where are you searching with your life,
Seeking power, lust, truth, nothing,
These we can give,
You who tread where forgotten gods sleep,
We ask for but a trifle,
UnEarthed Gods is a PC Role Playing Game being developed by Clint Brewer. If you would like to know more about Unearthed Gods or UnEarthed Games, send questions to Clint, or comment here.

To be notified when the game is available: Take a potato, cut it in half and insert a small piece of garlic in one half(it's important the piece is small...but not too small!), bind this in animal skin and bury it on an open hillock facing south.

The down and dirty:
This has been in development in a while. There is still a good deal of work to do to finish this and I'm reevaluating how I can best do this. Right now I'm planning on a more focused version. Focusing on the action of hand to hand weapons combat, and less on the magic casting and deep role playing aspect. There will still be magic but not the more complex type I have been planning for. Any feedback you can give me about what you think given the little you've seen will help me direct the future development. Your comments are most appreciated!

Thanks for taking a look!
In those intervening years nuclear winter, ozone depletion, unstoppable plagues, horrific natural disasters and lingering radioactivity have proven to be the bane of Mankind. Now, in the year 2100, those few who have managed to remain alive emerge from their fallout shelters in the hopes that they can salvage something of Humanity. Because if Nu-Tech has its way, Humanity will be wiped from the face of the Earth.

Illumina

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/Illumina/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

SciFi Fps , Involving Jetpacks/Backpack Abilities/Weaponry in open landscapes

Project: Twilight Blades

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/projecttwilightblades/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Project Twilight Blades is an RPG, yes. But it will play a lot differently than most others out there. For instance, instead of a typical turn-based system, this will be an active time battle system. Also, much like an MMO, there are no random battles, you approach what you want to fight, or find a way to avoid it. The difference is that most of the game will be local, but the main cities will be online. This will allow you to trade and communicate with other players while in town. There will also be options to communicate with others in field, more on that will be released at a later time. Keep an eye out for more information as it is released!
