The game has multiple seperate paths through the game and the open ended style often leads to the game being described as a Sandbox RPG however in truth the game has little in the way of varation in what you do with the main storyline and would be better described as multiple paths.

Rather then traditional RPG battles of any form your character pilots a Trotmobile which is essentially a steambot styled mecha. Multiple parts can be installed and combined to allow different robot types and tactics. Objects can also be thrown and there are several side missions that one can take.

Music also plays a large part inside the game with your character being able to take part in a band and earn money through musical minigames.
