The first public release (Episode One) will be available in Q3 of this year. It will include tracks set in Newtown as well as Cape Town (tracks include Camps Bay, the V&A Waterfront, and the dock area). Each city/location will consist of three tracks, and new cars will also be available as downloadable updates or as part of the next release. All of the MINI vehicles will eventually be available, including vintage MINI's and some hotted up MINI's like the GP and JCW.

There are two game modes: Arcade Mode will feature single races on any of the unlocked tracks, and Championship Mode will require players to compete through a series of tracks in Grand Prix style racing. Both game modes will be playable as single player or multiplayer experiences.

The soundtracks and sound design are being done by Tripwire (Lead singer of the band Pestroy (http://www.pestroy.co.za)), and Paul Norwood from 16Stitch (http://www.16stitch.co.za).
The levels are not lap based as many other racers are. Instead, the levels are one long track you will travel through to find the time rifs.
The game is basically Formula 1, but you're racing giant fruit.
I am going to try and model the vehicles in a fashion that makes it look like someone has just grabbed a fruit, and pushed a large rocket into the back of it. There will be a selection of different vehicles from the Banana Boat (See Gallery) to the Pineapple Car. I may also add an AppleChopper (Helicopter) and a Watermelon Hovercraft (I need a catchy name). The Fruitjuice (See Gallery) will provide a speed boost to overtake your competition.

I think that in order for me to sell this, it will have to be done VERY well, which is why I will be joint-working on this with good friend Alex Moffat. Gran Turismo 2 was developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 1999. The games serves as a sequel to Gran Turismo. It was well-received publicly and critically, selling 8.5 million copies worldwide and scoring an average of 93% in Metacritic's aggregate.

Gran Turismo 2 is fundamentally based on the racing game genre. The player must maneuver an automobile to compete against artificially intelligent drivers on various race tracks. The game uses two different modes: arcade and simulation. In the arcade mode, the player can freely choose the courses and vehicles they wish to use. However, the simulation mode requires the player to earn driver's licenses, pay for vehicles, and earn trophies in order to unlock new courses. Gran Turismo 2 features nearly 650 automobiles and 27 racing tracks.

Unlike its predecessor, the player can race events separately, instead of a tournament with multiple races. The player no longer needs to "qualify" for each race entered.

Gran Turismo was well-received critically, achieving many positive reviews. GameSpot rated it 8.5 out of 10, recommending it to any gamer, car enthusiast or not.
No arcade modes, no steering aids - YOU have to do the driving. It is therefore highly recommended to play the sim with a wheel, because even though you can use keyboard and/or mouse, a wheel is what you use in a real car, so a wheel should be used in a serious racing simulator. Gran Turismo was developed by Polyphony Digital and first published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 1997 for the PlayStation video game console. It was well-received publicly and critically, selling over 10.5 million copies worldwide (the best selling game for the PlayStation) and scoring an average of 96% in Metacritic's aggregate. The game has started a series, and to date has spawned over 10 spinoffs and sequels.

Gran Turismo is fundamentally based on the racing game genre. Gran Turismo features 178 automobiles and over 14 racing tracks.

The opening song for the US and European versions is a Chemical Brothers remix of the Manic Street Preachers song "Everything Must Go".

The game itself had a somewhat limited selection of songs, none of which can be turned off. These include 'Lose Control' by Ash From the album 1977, 4 songs from the Swim era of Feeder (Chicken On A Bone Reworked instrumental, Shade Instrumental, Tangerine Instrumental, Sweet 16), 'As Heaven is Wide' by Garbage, 'Oxyacetalene', 'Skeletal', 'Autonomy', and 'Industry' by Cubanate.

Gran Turismo was recently inducted into GameSpot's The Greatest Games of All Time list, which is a feature run by GameSpot that highlights games that are considered great by the Gamespot staff. It is also one of the rare games to receive a top mark of 10 out of 10 from Edge (magazine).
