Each time a Mailer Daemon gets past him, the time limit is suspended, and he must battle a gigantic multi-tentacled, shape-changing demon called the Zuuling.

Move Burnie using the keyboard, and fire by aiming the mouse. The longer you hold the mouse button, the larger the fireballs Burnie can hurl. Large fireballs are faster and can burn through multiple demons.

Shooting fireballs uses Mana, which can be replaced by holding the spacebar to Meditate. Meditation leaves Burnie vulnerable. Demons drop mana powerups when you send one fireball through multiple demons, each one leaves a larger powerup. Demons also drop life powerups when you create chain-reactions by burning demons that touch each other.

The game is actually episode 112 of the webcomic Nerdcore: the Core Wars. There are three possible endings, depending on how well you perform. The game has 3 difficulty modes, 3 speed settings, and Audio options.

Demon Heart

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/demonheart/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

You start playing as a character in a futuristic world, and start playing through the game like normal, you know, collecting armor, fighting creatures, stuff like that. Eventually, you hear rumors about some ancient building in an enemy territory(there is a war in this world) but you risk going anyways, because there is supposed to be a great treasure there. While you there, you learn about ancient forces that where forced into a near permanent hibernation because of the expansion of buildings and such, making over half of the planet an entire city, the other half being a dark forest kind of place, hosting the creatures that the human race is at war with. Upon further exploration of the ruins, you find an ancient machine. The scriptures near it say that upon activation, it will end all conflict in the world, without using violence. You activate the machine, and the screen starts to white out. When you wake up, your in the middle of a village full of trees, stone buildings, and treehouses(actual houses, not clubhouses) You go through the game, choosing the path you want to take, like warrior, mage, maybe merchant, stuff like that. Anyways, if you start exploring the game world, you will hear more rumors spreading quickly throughout the world that the dragons and wolves are being possesed. When you pursue these rumors, you go to find one of the creatures, and find that they are true. After a short walkthrough, you go about to set its soul in its body, which is when the demon form leaves the dragons/wolves body, and a cutscene activates. It shows your character standing there struck with terror. The demon rips through the air, charging at you. You clench, preparing for impact, but as it hits you a flashback occurs, showing the old futuristic world. Depending on if your a dragonheart, wolfheart, or human, it will be different, but in the end, shows you the location of an old armor and weapon and then the flashback ends. Back in the real world, you start fighting the demon. After you try attacking it for a bit, your journal pops up, and says that you can't seem to be able to kill it, and that leaving is probably your best choice. You hunt down your races senteint armor, in one of the few groves that survived the world wipe, which pretty much reverted the world to its state of being before the humans declared war on all the other races. Once you get the sentient armor, you can defeat the demons. After you slay about half the demons, they evolve into more powerful creatures that can't be defeated by the ring, or even the whole set of armor. So you have to find different ways to kill them instead, which brings you to a prophet of some sort, who sensed youwhere coming, and set up a training zone that tests your patience, intelligence...

The Legion

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/legion/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

In this intense action game, you must wage war against the demonic legion, who reproduce tons of pedes(foot soldiers)through generators to keep you from advancing. Fortunately, you'll have plenty of firepower since you can choose between nine weapons, use tanks and machine guns, and absorb the souls of fallen foes to fire right back at the legion with your soul bomb. You can also team up with a friend, and a level editor is included so you can design your own custom maps or change any of mine.
