Instead of blocks coming from the top, and fall down, blocks come from both top and bottom, and gravitate towards the middle.

The aim of the game is to get the highest score possible. Points are scored by moving the falling blocks on both sides of the play area so as to arrange 3 or more blocks of the same colour together. These blocks will then disappear causing any blocks "above" them to fall and possibly create further combinations. The game ends when either stack of blocks crosses the game over line. Over time the speed of the blocks increases, more colours are introduced and the play area becomes narrower.
There are two different game modes: Classic where there are just blocks falling, and Arcade where you get powerups and special blocks.

Dyadin

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/dyadin/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Within the depths of space and time, two planets converge upon one another unexpectedly, throwing the laws of physics into chaotic motion. Both players get 7 pawns and 1 king on a 8x8 board. The goal is to get your opponent's king or 6 of his pawns. Each turn, the player may select 1 stone and move it straight or in an L-bow. You cannot jump over stones, but you can step onto your opponent's stone to take it. The numbers on your stones indicate the number of tiles they can move in a turn. When the Mastermind option is selected, the stones change in value when you move it. Pawns can get numbers 1-4, while the king only gets 1 or 2. A challenging game!

Setting the Mastermind option (to change the alue of your stones each move) will show numbers on the board so you will know the number you will get when you move a stone there.
Players spin triangles around to make big triangles of the same color. Making many triangles of the same color in a row to create huge combos.
The game is still very early in development. It sorely needs to be rewritten; I'm still using T2D version 1.1 beta 1 for it, because I just recently stumbled across the old code and decided to flesh it out before I went on vacation.

OrBlitz

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/orblitz/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

OrBlitz is a fast-paced puzzle game along the lines of Lemmings, where players place blocks to direct orbs to their goal. Keep an eye on the home page for more information and downloads as they become available.

Storyline
In the year 64AD (after the Great Fire of Rome) Nero built the Domus Aurea (or "Golden House"). This is the story that is known. The story that is not common is the secret that the Domus Aurea hides and of your adventures within.

It is now 5 September 476 AD and yesterday Romulus Augustus was deposed (history will show that he will not be replaced). During Rome's fall stories of a powerful secret hidden within the catacombs of the Domus Aurea have surfaced, and being the curious type that you are, you have set out to find the truth or fiction of them.
He does not know where he is. He does not know how he came to be there. He does not even know his own name. All he knows is that he is being tortured by a bizarre, bespectacled man, who addresses him only as a number - Twelve-Thirteen.

Every day, Twelve-Thirteen is taken out of his cell and goaded into running a dangerous hazard course, apparently for the sole amusement of the bespectacled man. Today seems to be no different. But while Twelve-Thirteen sits brooding in his darkened prison, the door suddenly falls open with no apparent cause. To discover the answers to all of his questions, Twelve-Thirteen must adventure into the unknown world beyond the cell...

It plays as an adventure game with a light mix of action thrown in. The health system is an interesting take on a typically HP-saturated market: as you take damage, the beating heart in the corner pumps faster, threatening death, and adding to the atmosphere. With a gripping storyline that far exceeds its meager graphical offerings, you'll find yourself entirely immersed in a game that alternates between terror, confusion, and an overarching ending that will haunt you.

Tripline

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/tripline/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

This is a puzzle game where you draw an uncrossable line and at the same time try to cover every geometrical icon within the black frame. You have to pick three of the same icon before being able to go to a different one.

It follows the story of an emoticon who is imprisoned by another, jealous emoticon, and his journey to escape from his dungeon-like prison and save himself as his friends. Nothing fancy, but it's not about the story anyways.
