Introduction

According to legend, when the ravens depart the Tower of London, it will crumble to rubble and disaster will befall England. As man became more dependent on science, ancient lore and rituals were lost to the antiquity of time.

Classes

Mankind is a race of survivors. A rebellious few survive in the shadows of their former dominance, combining the holy, ancient, and arcane rites with the fringe sciences of the modern era.
Emerging from the swirling chaos of the Hellgate, the demons overwhelmed humanity's defenses. The Hellgate writhes and seethes like a living thing, a tornado of eldritch energies through which the minions of the netherworld surge forth.
You play as either four survivors that try to go from Point A to Point B, or you have the choice to play as one of the many zombie bosses. Now you may think this will get repetitive in time, but that's not true. The gameplay is different every time you play. Now this game heavily depends on teamwork, if you stroll along by yourself, your going to most certainly die. Weapon choice is simple, you can use MP5's to Uzis. The story is that the in a city have been infected with a sort of rabies that have turned them into zombies. These zombies aren't slow, they're fast and have the ability to climb fences. Oh, I forgot friendly fire is always on, so don't be trigger happy, and also don't jump right in front of your teammates expecting you won't get hurt, because you will. Why is friendly fire always on? The fact is, it makes the game more challenging. If there was no friendly fire, the game would too easy and would be a breeze to finish.

Aquaria

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/aquaria/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Lonely, restless Naija has spent her entire life wrestling with questions about her identity. Once he arrives, he sees that all traces of the natives have disapeared, the only things that inhabit the planet are strange monsters and the Robots created by the Natives. Galanz (The Main character in the game) goes out searching for any survivors, or clues to what has happened. Using his weaponry and his Psychic Abilities, he traverses the planet in order to discover just what is going on.

Influences are highly based on classics such as Metroid, Turrican, and the Andro-Synth sub-plot present in Star Control 2/Ur-Quan Masters.

The goal of the game is to basically find out what's going on. The "Galious" style gameplay is a reference to Knightmare 2: Maze of Galious, which was one of THE first Side Scrolling RPGs, complete with leveling and such. Of course, I'd like to go a little bit into more detail with this than what Galious did.

Since it's set to be like a NES game, there will be a restriction on the total buttons able to use, the current format it (in NES Controller format):

A - Shoot
B - Jump
Directional Pad - Move Left and Right, Aim Up and Down.
Start - Main Menu
Select - Use Psychic Ability

Psychic abilities won't be the usual "Fire Firebolt for X amount of P.P" but instead will be closer to actually changing the environment.

Can't jump over a huge wall? Flip gravity around. Can't toggle a switch? Go into E.S.P mode and flip it using your abilities. Oh snap, need to get the password, and the guy who might of had it is dead? Do a Mind Search on him, and find out his memories shortly before he met the wrong end of your gun.

This is the sorta thing I'm aiming for with this, not extremely complicated (mind sceens could just be cutsceens, and gravity for an object can easily be reversed), but fun and useful enough to warrant use.

However, I don't believe I can do this all by my own. As a Sprite/Traditional Artist or Designer, I will not be able to produce content fast enough alone, and coding is far from my strongest point. These are the current possistions available, if anyone is interested in helping out with this project, please PM me. Thanks for reading :D.
Blastforce is a freeware top-down shooter set in the year 2917. It is being developed with the Gamemaker 6.1 (but may be changed to GM 7.0 in the future). I have been working on the idea behind it for about 10 years (the story behind it was originally written by me as a hobby). Currently, the game is being developed by myself and a friend (with another helping me with my concept artwork). We still have quite a lot to do still!

Features

In the game you will be able to fly a wide variety of aircraft- interceptors, bombers, space-helicopters, and even the odd go on the gun turret. There will also be a number of ground-based missions in the game. The game's graphics are (or will be) in a anime-ish, super nintendo kind of style.

Situation

The game is still in early stages, and newcomers are welcome. At the moment we need:
-Coders
-Pixel artists
-Manga artists

There are also other jobs available. Please leave me a message if you are interested.

Steezy Snowskating

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/steezy/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Steezy Snowskating is a freeskate "tony hawk" style of game.
Nope. This is purely a game to see how well I can program in C# using XNA without having any prior knowledge.

With that in mind, it's sort of an action game. It gets very fast paced, and is simple to pick up and learn. You're a square...trying to hit another square. Doesn't get much simpler than that, does it?
There's two modes at the moment. One is Puzzle mode, get from the start to the end in the quickest amount of time possible, and the other is Vs.
There's also available a "deathmatch" mode (or one vs one on the same computer). The last standing warrior wins!!.

But there's even more!!, if you want to show off your skills to the people you can play the "Timecrisis" mode where you have to dealwith an army of agents before they get you, watch your back!!

Isomatrix is still under development but there is a working Demo available for download.
However, you share the same thought with over a thousand other people!

Shopper Rush is a 2D game in where you control a single character in a sea of AI players. Some levels will throw over 1200 AI players at you at the same time and your job is to get from one side of the shopping mall to the other, and be one of the 30 first customers in order to get your long-awaited gadget.

You also have a couple of tricks in order to get there before everyone else does. You can bump into people so they'll fall, you can push tables and other objects in their way, sprint past them or even spin around and make everyone around you fall. Great if you're stuck somewhere!

The basic game mechanics are based on group behavior and flow dynamics. For example; If 100 people are rushing to the stairs, chances are that it will clog up and you're probably better of taking the slightly longer route around it.

The game is a 5 week project at the University Of Skövde and deadline for the game is February the 16:th.
