Today the battle continues. Players have created millions of unique heroes and villains and set off to fight crime in Paragon City or become inafmous villains in the Rogue Isles. City of Heroes/City of Villains Good Versus Evil Edition includes both award winning titles in one box. The only question is whether to protect Paragon City as a crime fighting hero or help the evil Lord Recluse bring it to its knees.

Shattered Galaxy

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/ShatteredGalaxy/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Shattered Galaxy, the world's first published massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game, combines the excitement of real-time strategy with the character development of role-playing in a persistent online world.
Set in a world known as Agon, it features six playable races. Humans, Dwarves and the elven Mirdain maintain generally friendly terms among themselves, while Orks and the wolf-like Mahirim, although not quite so amicable, usually aren't hostile to each other. The same cannot be said of the Alfar, pale outcasts who openly loathe all but their own kind.

The character development system is intended to allow for a high degree of customization, offering a vast array of skills and spells. The objective, an appealing one to many observers, is to make it possible for players to follow virtually any type of career path they might want, becoming a de facto explorer, hunter, mercenary, smith, magician, fisherman or almost anything else by making the appropriate choices, with optional prestige classes such as Paladin, Assassin, Gladiator, Enchanter also available. All will adventure in an environment that differs from most others in its clearly stated emphasis on player vs. player combat.

ZerA

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/zera/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

ZerA is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game from Korea being developed by Nexon. Currently the game's Korean Beta has ended but a Japanese Beta has surfaced. Player enage in your normal MMO quest/grind tactics to level up but with a twist. ZerA features a type of interesting attack system. You can situate your character to hit more than one target at a time, which, in this game is very beneficial.

The Experience in ZerA is gained per hit, and with that comes some great benefits. You can some what see the advange to this say if you saw a large group of monsters and you used an Area of Effect(AOE) spell.

The game also features a similar PvP system to games like Lineage 2 and Eudemons where you can openly attack someone in the field, but with a penalty for killing them. The game has an amazing skill system that is quite unique. The skills are dropped, similar to items.

The skill system is beyond impressive. There is this circular patter, which I believe is called an Ego Panel. You open this panel up and it has various intersectiong and bonuses on those intersections. What it is, is a skill combo system. Using skills in the order you designed on this Ego Panel you can gain bonuses to your skills damage, knockdown time, what have you. Quite possibly the best skills system I ahve Ever seen. There is a limited number of skill slots in these Ego Panels, but rest assured you don't need every skill in the game!

Secret Society Wars

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/ssw/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss
