The storyline is the same from Harvest Moon: Back to Nature for the Playstation console. There are variations between both games, including new characters, new events, and a lot of new stuff.

The game itself is a farm simulation game, in which you'll have to take care of a farm, plant seeds, feed your cows and chickens, ride with your horse, harvest your vegetables and fruits, etc. You can also court 5 girls which live around the town. You can find Ann, Mary, Karen, Popuri and Elli. Of course, you'll have 'rivals' for each girl. If you give them enough gifts, food or things they prefer, you will be able to marry them!.

In the town, there are festivals which are celebrated anually, like the Cow festival, the Cooking festival, or maybe the Chicken sumo festival, there are a lot of them.
