It's a WWII themed FPS game, but it's not as realistic as say CoD. It has realistic textures, but the movements are Quake 3 style and it's also very fast paced like Quake 3. It's one of the best game out there in my opinion. The combination of a realistic theme with an unrealistic gameplay is just awesome. Try it out for yourself, you'll get hooked.

Heart of the Battle

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/heartofthebattle/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

It is a multiplayer WW2 first person shooter, based in the pacific and atlanic theaters. This source version includes major upgrades to the physics and graphics engines with the port to the Source Engine by Valve. Though it is still very similar to the original. Combat takes place in several locations presumably in Germany. There are 2 main modes for playing. The classic Capture the Flag and the new Plant the Bomb style. Both modes carry the same risks with constant fire from either side. Each side has 5 types of soldiers: Assult and Support to name a few. Each type has their own specialty from sniper to machine gunner. Each map generally has 5 flag locations or 2 bombing targets. The goal is to either capture all flags or destroy all targets.
