Medal of Honor Allied Assault was the first in a series of games under this franchise. At the time, it's style and feel were unique and in many ways ground breaking with many similar games coming after it. This is not to say that it was the first or run-away best, but one of the most common compliments seems to be that it was the first to really capture the "right feel". The weapons look, sound and play incredibly true to their real world counterparts and the settings for the missions are beautiful. If you are a fan of the genre, this is a must play.

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/BF2MC/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Based on the blockbuster online multiplayer war Battlefield franchise, EA and developer Digital Illusions are taking the battle to another realm with a modern-war era edition somewhat similar to Battlefield 2 for PCs but developed exclusively for console gamers.
