It follows the story of Prince Pietro (of the kingdom of PoPoLoCrois) as he goes on a quest to awaken his mother, Queen Sania, from a deep sleep. He finds allies soon in the journey, including a witch and a knight.

Battle system
The battle system is similar to the active time-based structure seen in the Final Fantasy series and in Chrono Trigger. However, in PoPoLoCrois, battles can be set to an Auto mode in which the characters will follow a set of AI instructions, such as Assault (which attacks and uses special skills), Attack (which attacks but uses no special skills), and Defend (which has characters try to keep their HP as high as possible). The battle system is fought in a way which could be seen as a scaled-down version of the battles in tactical RPG's such as Final Fantasy Tactics. The game's battles are generally very easy when compared to other RPG's.
It is a collaboration between the film's director Peter Jackson and famed videogame designer Michel Ancel (Rayman, Beyond Good & Evil), remarkable in that such true cross-medium creative partnerships are rare in the realm of game development.

In Peter Jackson's King Kong, the player assumes the roles of both New York playwright Jack Driscoll and the giant ape King Kong as they struggle to survive on Skull Island.

This game is exhibitive of an industry trend to de-emphasize the role of Heads-Up Displays: it lacks a life bar and ammunition readout (the ammo readout could be enabled), which makes the game more realistic. The player must rely on subtle onscreen and vocal cues from Jack instead. During the majority of the game the player is tasked with controlling Jack Driscoll in a first person view, a character given a realistic amount of health and equipped with largely ineffectual weaponry, further adding to the challenge and encouraging the player to find alternate weapons and techniques.

Interspersed with Driscoll's adventure are levels in which the player controls King Kong himself, battling various giant monsters in defense of Ann. The Kong levels take place in a third person view, as the player directs Kong to punch, grab and use objects and certain dead creatures as weapons, bite, throw objects and creatures, charge, climb, and even pound his chest to go into fury mode, a powerful mode in which the sky becomes a golden hue and Kong becomes more powerful, faster and less vulnerable to attacks. Many of the Kong sequences fulfill the role of boss fights, as the giant ape is able to effectively battle the gigantic V-Rexes that Jack's weapons cannot harm.

WWE Smackdown VS Raw 2006

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/svr06/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006 expands on THQ's popular multi-million unit-selling franchise with a number of key new features. The game has plenty of challenge, variety, and excitement for the racing fan who likes a bit of combat and violence with a little third person shooting tossed in. Players are put in the role of a rookie cop in a new division of the Capital City police force. Headed by a old, crotchety chief, players will be sent on missions to apprehend the five different gangs of the city. Each gang has their own unique look, vehicles, and areas of the city, so players will be introduced to a variety of different villains throughout the game. Most missions begin with players behind the wheel of a motorcycle, car, boat, or other vehicle in pursuit of or searching for members of the gangs. Once the gang members have been cornered, the game shifts into shooter mode. Players have a good number of weapons to shoot from, including some explosive ones that can actually destroy gang cars. This is a viable option to taking out the gang members themselves, since the game rarely requires them be taken alive. In addition to the story mode, there are also racing modes and time trial modes for players to master. While the title may not be appropriate for younger games, mature racing fans will enjoy the high speed action and combat of PURSUIT FORCE.

WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2007

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/svr07/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Experience the thrill of being a WWE Superstar like never before as WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007 delivers the next generation of WWE video games, with new key features, incredible graphics and gameplay that immerse players in hyper-real WWE action in and beyond the ring.
It is also the first canonical outing of the series for a portable platform (that is not adapted from a previous game), being a direct sequel to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It was originally planned as a new non-franchise title.[1]

Unlike Metal Gear Acid and its sequel, which were turn-based strategy games with stealth elements, MPO retains the action-based gameplay from the console iterations, drawing heavily from Snake Eater and utilizing the camera system from Subsistence.

The main addition to MPO is the "Comrade System". Instead of the solo-based missions that the series is known for, MPO goes for a squad-based approach, with Snake having to recruit his own allies and form his own team of trained specialists. At the beginning of each mission, the player must compose a four-man squad, which, at the player's option, includes Snake himself. The desired squad is then sent into the battlefield. Each member of Snake's squad has their own strengths and weaknesses. While some units are best utilized on the battlefield, others may specialize in producing items, healing allies, or providing intel for each of the game's maps.

During gameplay, the player controls only one squad member at a time. The squad members not in use hide themselves inside a cardboard box, and can be swapped into play when the player-controlled character finds a "hiding spot", where they can hide in their own cardboard box.

Characters who are killed in combat are eliminated from the player's squad permanently. The player can abort the mission if they feel one of their comrades is dying, or they may choose to restart the mission if a favorite character has died (similar to Fire Emblem games). However, this does not apply to major plot-based characters, who instead of being eliminated from the team, are sent into the infirmary to recover.

Bleach: Heat the Soul 3

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/bhts3/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Bleach: Heat the Soul 3 is a cel-shaded 3D fighting video game for the PlayStation Portable based on the Bleach manga.
