Because of
the 4190 'Fair Trade And Peace Settlement' , Earth was once again inclined to intervene on behalf of Gochectks. But no-one knew, no-one could have imagined the outcome.

Now 30 years after the attack, the Thydarrons have returned to claim the now vacant desert once called Earth. Only a
small colony of human survivors and their one remaining BattleBot stand in the way. These, the strongest and most
resourceful of humans, coordinate their defense from a secret military space station known as 'Hugo12c', located somewhere within the old
Vegain5 galaxy.

You are Evil5, a multifunction BattleBot designed and created by the human survivors and governed by a highly
sophisticated, and heavily armed military computer...the humans have called him JUDD. JUDD is in constant orbit of the
Earth and answers only to 'LEX' who is the brain of 'Hugo12c' and your prime commander. You have been teleported to an old abandoned transport station where JUDD will give you your first mission objective...
The player can run left, right and jump, but can also turn the world clockwise and counterclockwise by 90 degrees. When this happens physics works the following way: as soon as rotation starts all objects get frozen and after rotation objects continue to move with their velocities (direction and speed) they had before. With this ability you can move objects and yourself but also need to keep orientation and watch out for dangerous situations. Don't worry though, your made out of paper so you can die as often as you want to.
The overall goal is to get through this collage of ripped paper. And if your quick - and don´t die too often - you might get into the highscore list.
The first level - the cave - is more jump and run style and is an easy one where you can practice and improve your rotation skills. The second one - the jungle - is an advanced level with more sophisticated puzzles. To solve them you have to apply the physical consequences of rotating the world to the player and other objects simultaneously.

Dark Oberon

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/darkoberon/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Dark Oberon is an open source real-time strategy game similar to Warcraft II released under GPL.
