With a completely redesigned gaming engine, EV Nova thrusts you into a sprawling universe dominated by a myriad of warring factions, each sharing a common bond, but so philosophically different as to make conflict inevitable.

The remnants of the Colonial Council's utopian vision of a united galaxy are littered about like so many discarded dreams. The eccentric genius in Omata Kane, whose Hypergate system brought distant stars within reach, has all but been forgotten. Like a wave in the darkness of space, colonization flowed outwards from Earth, until discord and dissent against a growingly corrupt central government caused it to come crashing down.

Open rebellion caused the destruction of critical parts of the Hypergate system, severing entire systems from the umbilical cord of civilization. They were left adrift in the lonely void of space, forced to fend for themselves, truly strangers in strange lands. The collapse of a central government caused civilization to slide helplessly into a dark age of isolation. The few pockets of humanity that did survive developed in near solitude, clinging perilously to life like a tree desperately trying to gain root on a rocky cliff.

Time marched on in its relentless journey toward the future, and each of these civilizations slowly reconstructed their humanity... but in their isolation, a strange thing happened. They each followed markedly different paths in their evolution. As rediscovered technology finally allowed contact between these far-flung children of the Colonial Council to tentatively resume, they found that they had little in common. Indeed, rather than reunited brothers, they were strangers... or worse, adversaries.

It is into this maelstrom of territorial contention that you are thrust, like a pebble tumbling aimlessly between the tectonic fault lines that uncomfortably separate these divisions of humanity. Welcome to EV Nova. Will the pebble become an avalanche?

Target Tobruk

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/targettobruk/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Very challenging and realistic multiplayer combat flight simulation focusing on lesser known fighters of the Mediterranean Theater, with particular emphasis on Italian aircraft, although RAF and luftwaffe types are well represented. Small kingdoms fight between each other for power and most importantly territory. An officer fighting for one of these kingdoms hears a rumour about his home town that something must have happened there. His home town lay isolated from the rest of the land by two rivers crossing in the south and large mountains to the north. Only one ferry connects it to other town, a ferry largely used for exporting wares. It’s been over a year since anyone has met with the ferry, and all exports and imports has stopped to and from the isolated area. The officer desert from his position at front to investigate, having a bad feeling about it all. When he reaches the ferry crossing, a thick fog climbs towards him and with it comes the passage boat.
This is a planed singleplayer campaign for NWN2 with a few twists to it. The aim with the module is to create a small area with few NPCs but to put a lot of detail and thought into both. Personally I'm a custom content artists and all the NPCs will have customly made faces to match their personalities. The story will bring the player into an isolated state, fighting declining mental health and inner demons, solving puzzles to keep sane. The name of the module is a Latin word for "stygian", which means "demonic" or "hellish". This is the name of a new race that will be introduced into the game with this module. It featured teams of players choosing from 9 different classes in matches of capture the flag, VIP escort, territorial control, and many other missions.

Team Fortress 1.0 was released July 25th, 1996 for the original Quake, and the first release for QuakeWorld (v2.0) came on December 22, 1996 taking advantage of the enhanced multiplayer functionality of the new client.

It was sufficiently successful that the developers formed TeamFortress Software to then develop "Team Fortress 2" as a commercial mod for Quake II. TF would instead be rewritten for the Half-Life engine.

Over ten years later, TF still enjoys a small community of active players, and several variations on the original TF formula have helped keep peoples interest, including CustomTF, which introduced the ability to configure your own custom class by trading frags scored as cash to purchase abilities.
Amongst other black projects, a team of British scientists working at an Infinitum Research experimental station stumbled across some remarkable phenomena involving DNA manipulation. This led to deeper research with dangerously unpredictable results, leading to human patients losing their lives in irresponsible and immoral experiments.

By the 90s the failure rate was low enough for Infinitum to move onto the next stage: Biological Light Refraction. The team were hoping to unravel the possibilities of light manipulation to create the perfect covert military agent. Due to a gross miscalculation, a series of tests on Subject 617 led to massive synaptic trauma leaving the patient with multiple genetic anomalies. Left in constant pain and with unstable DNA, 617 escaped captivity, killing anyone that got in his way. The I.R.I.S. (Infinitum Research Interception Squad) team have been deployed to return the subject to a maximum security Infinitum Research facility for further study and dissection.
TC:E is currently being developed by GrooveSix Studios and TeamTerminator. While TeamTerminator is known for the famous Q3 based TrueCombat series, GrooveSix Studios was initiated by retired TeamTerminator co-founder Coroner to develop a Return to Castle Wolfenstein modification that is not released. Thus, as very experienced Q3-based content creators, we hope to be able to serve the gaming community with a quality offering.
Now, the most important question: "What can you expect from TC:E?" TC:E is a tactical-team shooter, set up in a modern-world environment. TC:E puts you into the role of elite mercenary soldier in the conflicts of two internationally operating forces.
Wintermaul Wars is actually a spin off of the slightly less popular but more modded Wintermaul.

In Wintermaul wars, you have a "base" unit, usually represented as a boat. You have 1-2 buildings (unit-creator, or UC) to create units at, and you can not control the units created. Instead, they are automatically sent to the enemy's base unit. If they are able to reach the enemy's base unit and touch it, the enemy looses one point off their score or 25 (which is changeable depending on the version of WMW in play). You must build towers from a huge selection to defend your base unit, while sending units to bypass and overwhelm your enemy's defences.

Another crucial element of Wintermaul Wars is your income. Whenever you kill an enemy unit, you get gold to spend. There is 4 basic ways to spend that gold. If you buy a unit at your UC, 2 of that unit are sent to your enemy to attack him/her. You also add an ammount to your income when you buy a unit, so it looks like this:

Unit A: Costs 5g: 1g per turn added, so you gain it back after 5 turns.

Unit B: Costs 10g: 2g per turn added, so you gain it back after 5 turns

Unit C: Costs 52 gold: 14g per turn added, so now when you buy this, you gain your gold back faster

If you continued to buy unit C, you would eventually gain more money than someone who only bought Unit A and B, because the 1g you are investing if worth more in your income.

You can also build a tower, or upgrade an existing tower. All towers in Wintermaul Wars take up 1 map square, so you can fit a lot of things in one space.

With nearly 100 units to buy in some versions, and 600+ towers to build and upgrade, Wintermaul Wars takes a lot of micro to be successful at. You must select the correct race (this decides what your towers cost, their damage, speed, range, and any special abilities, plus what towers you can build and if they can be upgraded). The perfect blend of building, attacking, income-gaining, and picking the correct race for the situation at hand is needed for victory. Wintermaul Wars may be best thought of as a mix of chess and checkers without any turns. Your units must reach the opponent before his reach you, but there is a huge diversity in what units do.

If all of this daunts you, don't be turned off from playing. Wintermaul Wars has a very gentle learning curve, and it's pretty hard to get worse once you're good at it, no matter how long you go without playing.

Sadly, the player base for Wintermaul Wars is now less than before, due to a mass movement to the ever-so-popular World of Warcraft. However, the online service for Warcraft III and the Frozen Throne is free, so give it a try. Servers are rare, but they get filled up very quickly as veteran B.net players remember the good times they've had.

Black Acid co-op

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/none/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

this is a co-op mod with hard maps and with new enemies to make it more interesting and the unique thing is that there will be alot of interactive stuff in the mod to make it really fun please wait for finished developement

Dystopia

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/dystopia/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Dystopia is a cyberpunk themed Half-Life2 total conversion. We hope to create the ultimate version of Mario Kart (MK) by combining all of the best aspects into one game. We're not simply recreating one version of MK, but using the best parts of each. We want to have all the traditional weapons, characters, and maps but also bring out new weapons that make game-play interesting. We're redesigning the maps so that they keep their appeal, but truly utilize the power of the source engine. We plan to have at least 16 different characters, all the ones you know and love as well as some others from the Super Mario World.

Earth's Special Forces

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/esforces/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Earth's Special Forces, also known as ESF is a very popular half-life modification based on the hit anime series, Dragonball Z. The mod includes nine of your favorite characters who are able to duke it out using numerous beam attacks as well as close hand to hand combat. ESF mixes both elements to bring players intense fast paced with a twist of strategy. Each character is geared towards a different style of play. Some are meant to mainly use energy attacks, while others have the advantage in melee fights.
No matter what style of fighting you like to use, esf has a way to accomadate you.

ESF has been in the making for the better part of three years. The team continuely tries to push the half-life engine to it's limits in order to produce the most playably accurate Dragonball Z game around.
