PC

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/poingpc/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

 Poing! PC is a freeware game that puts an innovative twist on the tried and tested style of Breakout. Destroying bricks will not necessarily help since they will keep coming back... instead, the aim is to break a path to the back wall of each level and smash the wall until it fades away, allowing you to progress through to the next level.

As an added twist, if you lose the ball after getting through several levels, you won't lose a life immediately. Instead the ball will plummet back through the levels you've beaten until you either catch it or it goes past the first level of the set.

Fortunately there's a wide variety of powerups to help you along the way, including the Bat Autopilot, Forcefield and Wall Drain. Poing! PC also keeps track of your games and compiles a whole list of lifetime statistics along with per-levelset and all-time hiscore tables - and if you get tired of the included levels, you can make your own with the included level editor.
The challenge to strive for the top while having an exciting ride up there. There are two modes, Practice and Challenge and they both share the same rules.

Game Rules:
===========
The player has 7 Levels.
The player has 2 Lives.
The player has 7 Minutes

Here, you will be challenged to destroy as many blocks as you possibly can, within time constraints - 1 minute for each level. You start with 2 lives, how you manage and how you attain power ups will be detrimental to your progression through the high score ranks. The time does not start until you release the ball from the paddle, once released, game on.

Practice Mode:
==============

Feel free to choose any level that you wish. Practice, become familiar with the level and then progress to the challenge. Not much to it. Same rules apply.

Game On:
========
Break out to destroy as many blocks as you can. If you like a challenge, dive right in. It's waiting for you.

Good luck.
