Worlds have been destroyed and panic is growing. The game features 9 scrolling levels, 5 large bosses and the story is shown through in game cut scenes.

Tank Brigade

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/tankbrigade/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Well, after quite a bit of work on JumpStart and one of its demos Tank Brigade I have decided to release the demo as a full working game. Basically its a single level game built around JumpStart. The Map to play on is randomly selected from a set list (currently 4 maps) and play exists of you trying to destroy all of the enemies on the screen. Some maps are generated procedurely and some are hard coded.

In the relased version sound is supported (turned off by default, turn it on in the options screen). I'll warn you now that the sound can get a bit annoing. Luckily you can press escape, go to options, turn it off, back, and resume game.

Graphics are completely from SpriteLib GPL. If anyone wants to take the time to create real graphics for the game I'd be happy to add them in and add on a credits screen.

Critical Mass

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/CriticalMass/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

 (aka Critter)

Your world has been infested by an aggressive army of space critters. Overrun and unprepared, your government was unable to defend its precious resources. As a last effort to recapture some of the "goodies", you have been placed into a tiny spacecraft and sent after them.

Space Invaders OpenGL

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/SpaceInvadersGL/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Space Invaders OpenGL is a 2D/3D game based on the old arcade classic in which you must destroy enemy ships by shooting them up.

Primary goal is twofold - save the fuel pods and destroy all the enemy defenses. You may also upgrade your ship's weapons by transporting new technology to the collector platforms using your lander's tractor beam.
Multiple episodes on different planetary bodies with different gravitational forces.
