Like all of Cho's recent games, it's an abstract shooter. You control your ship with the arrow keys, and have to avoid any blue and green squares coming at you. To defend yourself you can release so called gliders by pressing and holding the Z key. Any green squares that are touched by the brown glider will become brown as well (and any they touch will become brown and so on). When you release the Z key, all brown squares explode. The more brown squares there are, the more points you get.

To understand the behaviour of the groups squares, and how they move, a passing knowledge of Conway's Game of Life, and its rules might be helpful.

Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/shiveringisles/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Shivering Isles is an expansion for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Brian Sullivan, award-winning co-creator of Age of Empires and Titan Quest, continues the epic story across the dark and more sinister Underworld of Hades.

In this epic quest of good versus evil, players will encounter the greatest villains of Greek mythology, brave the attacks of Cerberus, and hazard the banks of the River Styx. Along with new foes, players will fight alongside Agamemnon and Achilles, interpret the prophecies of the blind seer Tiresias, and use the wiles of Odysseus to conquer this dark new adventure."

Stack Attack

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/stackattack/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

This is a very simple concept game with minimilistic almost DOSlike graphics, but hopefully with a hook of playability to have you coming back again just for the ride.

Click grouped blocks to make them disappear from the playfield - the number of blocks in the group (two or more) will determind the score given. More blocks together = higher group-clicking scores.

clicking on a single block will cause a 1000 points pentalty to be taken from your score.

If you remove an entire column then a free-column bonus will be awarded for the duration of the free state.

More blocks are being pushed into the playfield from below, slowly at first but then faster as the game continues on, until it is very frantic indeed.

If you need more blocks and the blocks are being pushed on to the screen to slowly then use mouse button two, or the space bar, to bring them on faster. You may want to do this at the start of the game, but once the speed is higher this will be the last thing on your mind!

The game is over when a stack reaches the score-line at the top of the screen.

STOP THOSE STACKS!

**This game is 100% freeware and not to be sold!**

Grand Theft Auto IV

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/GTAIV/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Grand Theft Auto IV is the upcoming tenth installment of the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise, announced to be released by Rockstar Games on October 16, 2007 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It has been confirmed that GTA IV will run on the RAGE game engine, the same engine that powered Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis. The game is being written by Rockstar president Dan Houser.

Lazlow Jones, who has played the voice of the radio presenter 'Lazlow' in GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories, is labeled as part of the cast for the game. Also listed as part of the GTA IV cast is Navid Khonsari, who voiced the porn host in Max Payne and has also voiced characters in GTA games as well, including pedestrians.

Peter Moore, head of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business division announced that Rockstar Games is working on two downloadable packs for GTA IV exclusively on the Xbox 360, which will probably be available within months of the game's release date. Moore described the downloads as "epic episode packs," and not just an extra car or character. A press release during the conference said that the packs would add "hours of entirely new gameplay" to the game. Industry sources have said that the packs will be almost as long as Liberty City Stories. There have been no details on pricing of the downloads revealed. The nature of exclusivity on these episodes is still in vague detail. It is possible that the Playstation 3 version may also include two of its own exclusive episodes as well as unlockable content unlocked by the PS3 version.
