clear: left;" src="http://static.greatgamesexperiment.com/userimages/c/c7129a5a9af8a79fbacb98f1e64772eb_sq.png" title="Liberal Crime Squad Image" /> Liberal Crime Squad is a political role-playing game with rogue-like elements where you recruit extreme liberals in an attempt to change the ultra-conservative USA.

In the beginning you create your LCS founder's background and start alone, but you can recruit as many liberals as you like. The mission is pretty straight forward, change the nation, place liberals in charge. There are many ways to do so, using raw violence, kidnapping important people and converting them into sleepers, changing public opinion, invading the radio station and broadcasting your ideals, freeing criminals, and so forth.

Please be aware that LCS is a rather mature game with lines inappropriate children, but they add a nice comical aspect to it.

Wilfred, the Hero

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/WilfredtheHero/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Wilfred, the Hero consists of four parts RPG, two parts cinematic, and one part music-oriented puzzles. Playing the game itself is pretty self-explanatory, but for the sake of those who love to get a dotted list with the pros and cons, some highlights include that characters gain skill points from chests rather than from leveling up, battles take place using a Action Time Bar (FF6 is the closest analogy I can draw) and, instead of dying, each character simply loses a life and gains a significant time penalty. Losing all lives, or, alternatively, if both characters are in the process of reviving at once, causes a game over. The cut-scenes are all fairly lengthy (and the dialogue is occasionally hyperbolic) so saving often is recommended.

The current version only covers the first third of the game (with a maximum level of 9), and development is paused currently. Even so, playing through the first bit is a fairly nice experience, and for those RPG-starved out there it's a very polished experience.

(qtd. from the Independent Gaming Source)

Last Scenario

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/LastScenario/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Last Scenario is a game made using the popular RPGMaker XP that could possibly rival Aveyond's level of professionalism, perhaps even surpass it. Tiles, music and sound effects are standard material that is included with the package, but most of the character portraits, sprites and backgrounds seen in this release were created by the developer.

The C key is used for most interactions and menu selections. Press the X key to access the inventory screen or to cancel any choices. A medium length RPG with over a thousand rooms, side quests, a unique spellcard system and even a collectible board game, it's quite unlikely that any fan would complete this production in a couple of sittings
Avernum 3 features an enormous scenario, with well over 100 towns, villages and dungeons. There is a fascinating story and a dynamic world which changes according to the actions of the player. Refugees move from town to town. People die. If nothing is done, towns will crumble into dust.

Avernum was a prison, an enormous warren of tunnels and caverns, far below the surface world. The surface is ruled by the Empire, the all-powerful masters of the known world. Misfits, petty criminals, and those with the wrong opinions were sent into Avernum for the rest of their lives. At least, that’s what happened once.
You are the scouts. You will be the first envoys to the surface. Instead of the sunlit paradise you dreamed of, you will find a world ravaged by mysterious plagues and hordes of bizarre monsters. Soon, the Empire will ask you to help solve the problem. Your enemies will become your allies as you race to find the source of the destruction.
It is an enormous warren of tunnels and caverns, far below the surface world. You were banished there by the cruel Empire, to spend the rest of your life in the underworld. At first, it seemed like you and your many fellow prisoners might be able to form a nation and live in peace, far from the sun.

Then a group of adventurers from Avernum assassinated Hawthorne, the emperor of the Empire. Now the forces of the Empire are rampaging through your underground home, killing everyone they find. As things stand, the nation of Avernum, and all in it, are doomed.

But then you, lowly soldiers stationed at the most remote of forts, get a chance to change things. A series of unexpected events gives you the chance to explore unimagined realms, meet strange alien creatures, and maybe, with luck and cunning, save your people from certain doom.Vahnatai Council
An old man named Fynn sits on a cliff, watching the sunset and thinking about everything he did in his life - like dreaming about flying to the stars as a kid, fulfilling his dream at the age of 17 when he joined the Alliance or when is dream ended, as his ship was destroyed by 2 unknown vessels.
In a little escape pod he drifted as one of the few survivors in space, until he crashed on a small planet.
But what happened to him afterwards?
It offers a "3D in 2D" first-person perspective, turn-based combat, lots of quests and lots of puzzles.

Story of the game:
Rumors go around the land that a great evil has risen on an old abandoned royal graveyard near the city of Dolbrad. Deads are walking around the place killing everybody, who try to explore secrets of the tombs.

Stories reached a small remote town, where travellers and merchants meet. In the tavern they talked timorously about ferocious corpses wandering the graveyard during nights.

Then party of adventurers entered the scene loudly (strenghtened by couple of beers). They bet with the merchants without consideraition, that they will enter the graveyard and bring gold from king's tomb to show, that no real man (or woman) should fear couple of rotten corpses.

From this moment YOU control the next steps of the hotheaded adventurers, who started twists of erratic events with just one simple and unwise bet. Lead them to the horror graveyard only to prepare future, they could never expect.
