You play Jack Malone, an adventure hunter, who explores several huge mansions in search of gold at the end. You can't kill anything; you simply avoid the bad guys, while you search for keys that allow you to open doors that lead to new areas. Mansions are filled with traps, puzzles, and secrets.

SlingStar

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/SlingStar/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Sling your wingmen to destroy the enemy in this addictive, physics based game.

VectorBlast

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/vectorblast/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

VectorBlast is a single player arcade style space shooting game which borrows entertaining concepts from a number of memorable classics. You are presented with a quiet city scene where you control heaps of rubble dropped from the sky by a tiny alien (Minibyte), who decided to "pick on the big people" by planting his "Portable Entertainment System" (a giant crane) over Earth. The goal of the game comes in three tiers: to score by squishing people, play pentomino, and challenge your reflexes as blocks fall at random speeds. The traditional set of blocks are mixed with "surprise blocks" which you have to quickly find a place for in the grid. Even the individual block tiles are purposefully vague and hard to distinguish to add to the chaos. The game is very challenging to ones reflexes. The goal is to keep your grid under control as long as possible so that you can continue scoring on pedestrians. Only those with quick fingers can survive.

Yum-Yum

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/yumyum/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

This was an entry in the third 72 hour GDC, which means of course it was made in under 72 hours (about 10, to be exact).

The goal is simple - catch the plumbers as they fall from the pipes (remind you of anything?) by holding UP as they hit the giant plant's head. Catch a set amount before they break your pot to continue on.

The game was made as a retro-themed title, imitating the classic, badly-translated, super-odd Japanese games.

The game is still under construction, and after the upcoming Hedonism Games title is completed, it will be updated, as well - numerous problems exist in the game, primarily the lack of sound, lack of variety, the fact the enemies are still visible when they run off the screen and the inability to move while eating plumbers. The other big update will be commenting the code better! As it was made in so few hours, it's rather unclean code...
