There's an evil character named Abyss who is destroying the Earth. Ruby Heart discovers this, and characters are sent to destroy him. Unlike the first game, there was only one ending no matter who the game is completed with.

The gameplay has fairly standard fighting controls (two punch, two kick, two assist). There are also combo and super combo moves, as well as combos that can be done with more than one character.

Probably the most unique thing about it is the diverse cast. One side of it comes from all over the comic world, and the other side comes from some of the great 2-D fighting games of all time. Finally getting to fight using such big names that people never expected to be in the same game together was and still is a huge deal.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/marvelvscapcom/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Considered one of the most fun fighting games of all time, this massive clash brings together the best fighters from the Capcom fighting games (such as street fighter) to fight super heroes straight out of Marvel Comics.

Marvel Trading Card Game

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/MarvelCCG/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Based on Upper Deck Entertainment's best-selling Vs. Play as each unique member of the Fantastic Four as you assume their persona and master their individual talents to solve puzzles, overcome obstacles and combat enemies:
Mr. Fantastic (Intelligence): Use your ability to stretch in order to attack from a distance, squeeze into tight spaces and reach places no one else can. The Human Torch (Fire): Create walls of fire and supernova fireballs as you hover or shoot fire from your fingertips and bend flames at your will as you ward off enemies.
The Thing (Strength): Use brute force to pick up objects or tear them apart, break through walls and obstacles and obliterate enemies.
