The gameplay focuses on exploring a strange world and learning new abilities with blocks, not only to defeat enemies but to reach places that would otherwise be unreachable.

Wallbusters

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/Wallbusters/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

With a multitude of unlockable characters, weapons, and levels, this game is truly wondrous. The Story Behind PixelShips:

In the year 2049, a new toy was invented to bridge the generation gap, uniting people of all ages together in friendly competition: PixelShips. Each ship is designed to meet specialized standards so that no matter how young or old you are you can enjoy them just the same.

Most PixelShips are only a foot or two long and are flown using special devices called PICCs, or PixelShip Interface Command Consoles. The consoles have two joysticks and six buttons on each stick and can interface with any ship that has been registered into it. Some PICCs also have LCD displays so that you don't need a TV to see what your PixelShip sees while it flies.

Each PixelShip uses batteries, just like any other toy, though some use Micro-Reactors instead and are fueled at special facilities so that childeren cannot actually access the fuel inside. They are also designed out of segments held together by micro-magnets. When the ship is "destroyed" in combat, its micro-magnets disengage and the ship flies apart into its seperate segments, each still carrying a residual charge from the ship's anti-gravity unit. If all of the segments are then tagged by another PixelShip, that collector may then, under official guidelines, possess the ship if he so desires.

Classic PixelShips takes place in the year 2076 when a very secretive PixelShip has supposedly been built. Your task is to collect all 160 known PixelShips by earning them through campaign battles at the arena. Afterwards, you will be given access to a special campaign where you may earn this unique and unheard of PixelShip.

MINI#37 - Arcade Racer

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/mini37/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

MINI#37 is an episodic racing game and every couple of months or so, new sections of the game will be released. The first public release (Episode One) will be available in Q3 of this year. It will include tracks set in Newtown as well as Cape Town (tracks include Camps Bay, the V&A Waterfront, and the dock area). Each city/location will consist of three tracks, and new cars will also be available as downloadable updates or as part of the next release. All of the MINI vehicles will eventually be available, including vintage MINI's and some hotted up MINI's like the GP and JCW.

There are two game modes: Arcade Mode will feature single races on any of the unlocked tracks, and Championship Mode will require players to compete through a series of tracks in Grand Prix style racing. Both game modes will be playable as single player or multiplayer experiences.

The soundtracks and sound design are being done by Tripwire (Lead singer of the band Pestroy (http://www.pestroy.co.za)), and Paul Norwood from 16Stitch (http://www.16stitch.co.za).
You don't need more than the cursor keys and the space key to control your Smiley. The aim of the game is simple: Hunt each other and try to reach as first the win score. There are several different mazes supplied with the game in various sizes and styles. SuperMaze is fully networked and multi platform and so playable on a vast amount of computers. Windows and Linux builds are already available. Needless to say that all platforms may play together in networked games. The game does not require the very latest hardware. A moderate system with 800 Mhz is sufficient to play.
