Instead of shooting, you only have a piece of chalk with which you can draw. The way you defeat the enemies is different depending on the type. Some require all of the green dots to be connected, and others need to have their bullets connected back to them. There are bosses at the end of each level that will take a bit more thinking to destroy. The game is controlled entirely with the mouse, but the keyboard can be used as well.

Awesome!

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/awesome/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

To take a break from one of my big projects, I decided to make a little side-project. I had no idea what to make though, so I looked back through my old creations, and decided to remake one of them. This is what I came up with.

The objective is simply to survive for as long as possible, while attacking the enemy you circle around. That enemy has a few different attacks, which start off being quite harmless, but the longer you play the more deadly they get, until eventually you die.

The graphics are, I'd say, a unique style. I've used this stlye a few times, mainly because I suck at making "proper" graphics. I think it looks quite cool.

The controls are included in game. If you can't be bothered to read them, the simply put, use the arrow keys and z,x and c.

I do warn you though, this game does flash quite a bit, and on several occasions I, and others, have got head aches and nausea from playing it, heh. =P

A quote someone said about the game:
"A Wicked Extream Super Outstanding Magnificent Extravaganza "

I hope you enjoy it, I only spent 1 week creating it, but don't let that deter you from playing it. The music is by 8 Bit Weapon, not me.

Have fun playing =D

RaidenX

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/raidenx/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

RaidenX follows the same formula of virtually every other shmup: Powerful weapons, lots of enemies, plenty of powerups. Collecting powerups of the same colour in a row will make your weapons more powerful!

Sonic Robo Blast 2

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/srb2/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

A fun, light-hearted robot smashing romp in the style of the first Sonic the Hedgehog game. Using the Doom engine, this game is a great game keeping the true feel of the classic Sonic the Hedgehog games, while moving into three dimensions. Its gameplay includes most of the gameplay modes of Doom (with ring-throwing in match mode), and co-op play with Sonic and friends.

Feeding Frenzy

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/feedingfrenzy/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

The purpose of this game is simply to survive.
To do this you have to eat the yellow dots, but the catch is, is that if you don't eat, you'll die!!
Also there are red creatures, which will harm your creature if it eats them, so don't touch them.
They won't make it easy though, becuase if they get close enough, the curious creatures will follow, but you can shake em' off with a few slick moves.
If that was bad, things just get worse. These little red creatures have infected some other creatures, and when these creatures die, they spread even more of these little blighters around!!
But help is at hand! There are some other types of creatures: blue, green, and purple, and when you eat them, your creatures gain abilities which will help it survive.
But these effects are only temporary! So keep your wits about you!

I will update when I can, but for now:
I hope you enjoy this game!
Jeff just finished it off a few days ago. The game is more like traditional Asteroids, but with progressive weapons. This game loads much quicker than Retro Blaster, and it supports 100's of on-screen objects (mostly shots) with little or no slow-down. Be sure to ramp your guns up to 3 + rapid fire, hold-down [Z] and blast everything back to pixels!

StealthRecoil

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/stealthrecoil/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

StealthRecoil is a free First Person Shooter based around Modern day and Modern day weapons such as the Famas, Desert Eagle, AUG, SSG, and the P90. You are a ninja, running and jumping from tree to tree. As enemies come at you, you have to either cut them in half or shoot a charged shot of energy at them. Your energy can also be used to give you super speed and fly you back up to the top of the trees. If you get hit by an enemy or fall off of the trees, you will lose health. There are health orbs to pick up that will heal you a bit. Nope. This is purely a game to see how well I can program in C# using XNA without having any prior knowledge.

With that in mind, it's sort of an action game. It gets very fast paced, and is simple to pick up and learn. You're a square...trying to hit another square. Doesn't get much simpler than that, does it?

There's two modes at the moment. One is Puzzle mode, get from the start to the end in the quickest amount of time possible, and the other is Vs.
