Not being a new title in the Command & Conquer series as such, The First Decade is a compilation of the series' prior games, all bundled into one DVD and updated to run optimally on Windows XP. It was sold for the price of one retail game. Also included in the compilation was a bonus DVD which took a look behind the scenes of the successful franchise, including interviews with producers, old concept art, various soundbites, as well as a montage of the winning fan videos of the "Are You The Biggest C&C Fan?" competition held prior to the compilation's release.

Other items included in the compilation included a A3 poster with high-quality C&C renders on both sides, one of which has been confirmed to be a teaser image for EA's new Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars game currently in production, as well as a 70-page manual that only includes unit descriptions for each of the included games.

NERO

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/nero/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Neuro-Evolving Robotic Operatives, or NERO for short, is a unique computer game that lets you play with adapting intelligent agents hands-on. It was released one year after the main game and is currently in version 1.04.

Zero Hour added several new abilities to each side, and a new mode of play called Generals' Challenge. In Generals' Challenge the player takes on the identity of one of nine generals (three representing each faction) and does battle against most of the other generals, eventually confronting a powerful "boss" general. The expansion also introduces new characters (enemy Generals, and newscasters, who brief the player.)
Everyone is a soldier. Online Multiplayer is the core fun of this game and it does that well.

GDI fights NOD and both teams start with a complete base. The base has buildings for vehicles, power, resource collection, character upgrades, and defense. The objective is to destroy the other team's base.

Players go about it by killing enemies, destroying the other team's (automated) resource collector, or by healing allies. Whenever a player does any of these things they earn money for themselves and that's what makes Renegade so interesting. There's nobody managing the team or overseeing everything from above. It all works because players are rewarded for being effective. Player income is used at the base for upgraded weapons or vehicles.

Command & Conquer Generals

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/CNCGenereals/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Command & Conquer: Generals is one of the most recent real-time strategy games in the Command & Conquer series. Generals utilizes the SAGE (Strategy Action Game Engine) engine. This proprietary engine is an extended version of the Command & Conquer: Renegade 3D engine, and Electronic Arts has not made any announcements as to whether or not it will license the SAGE engine to other developers, however it has been used for other EA games such as The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth and Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars.

Generals was released onto the Microsoft Windows platform in 2003, and a Mac OS version was released in 2004, marking the return of the Command & Conquer series to that platform.
The game takes place about 30 years after the end of Tiberian Dawn. In the 2030's, when the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod are again at war in a battle for the future of the world.

Compared to its predecessor, Tiberian Sun relies heavily on science fiction technologies, and introduces a new isometric game engine featuring varying level terrain to give the impression of a true 3D environment.
