The DS version of Crystal Chronicles, surnamed Ring of Fates, made its playable debut at the Jump Festa in Tokyo.

Square Enix hasn't had to dumb down the gameplay in Crystal Chronicles any in the move from GameCube to DS. We can also confirm that the game's presentation hasn't taken too much of a hit either. The world and characters are colorful and detailed. Cinema scenes feature full voice-overs; this doesn't seem to be the case for all areas of the game.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/ffcccb/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Square Enix debuted its anticipated Wii and Nintendo DS versions of the multiplayer GameCube RPG, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.

For the Wii, the game will be called Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers.

The game is being designed to take advantage of all of Wii's unique features.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/FinalFantasyCrystalChronicles/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Square's first game for a Nintendo console since the days of the Super NES takes the lush fantasy world from the Final Fantasy franchise and adds-in Gauntlet-style four-player action. The game does away with traditional experience points and instead focuses on action-oriented combat with a unique co-op slant. Up to three friends can join in on the quest, by using Game Boy Advance units connected to the GameCube as controllers. While all the main action takes place on the screen, the GBAs enable the players to access menus, organize their spell spheres, and perform upgrades without slowing down the action.
