Description:
Worms: Armageddon is a turn based strategy game in a 2d environment. There is a single player campaign, and training missions to complete; but the main attraction is playing against other people locally or over the internet. Games can be played with 2 or more people. The graphics and sound are very cartoonish, and entertaining.

Gameplay:
Each player starts with a number of worms on their team. Each worm has a fixed amount of health. If a worm runs out of health, it will die. Once you run out of worms, you lose the match. The game is turn based, so each team gets control of one worm during their turn. You have a limited amount of time to select one of many weapons and inflict damage on another teams worm. There are also other more subtle tools to choose from for more strategic play, such as terrain digging tools, girder construction, and ropes and other means to get around the map. Weapons vary from the ordinary guns and explosives, to odd things like exploding sheep, mad cows, and homing pigeons.

There are several other popular gameplay types, with specific rules for play.

Finding online games is easy when you log onto WormNet. It's an irc-like chat interface where you can host or join games.

Knytt

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/knytt/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

The Knytt was abducted by an alien! This game was developed as an entry to the gamedev.net 4e4 contest which required that it encorporate at least 2 of the following four elements (elements of which ALL games are apparently made of): pirates, ninjas, robots and zombies.

I opted for robots and zombies because robots are easy to model and zombies are easy to animate ^_^

The contest had a 6 month time limit, so I wanted to make sure I didn't bite off more then I could chew. In the end I came in 2nd out of at least 20 - the 1st place finisher was developed by 5 people! so even though I didn't win I felt like the game did very well and the process was rewarding.
Blastforce is a freeware top-down shooter set in the year 2917. It is being developed with the Gamemaker 6.1 (but may be changed to GM 7.0 in the future). I have been working on the idea behind it for about 10 years (the story behind it was originally written by me as a hobby). Currently, the game is being developed by myself and a friend (with another helping me with my concept artwork). We still have quite a lot to do still!

Features

In the game you will be able to fly a wide variety of aircraft- interceptors, bombers, space-helicopters, and even the odd go on the gun turret. There will also be a number of ground-based missions in the game. The game's graphics are (or will be) in a anime-ish, super nintendo kind of style.

Situation

The game is still in early stages, and newcomers are welcome. At the moment we need:
-Coders
-Pixel artists
-Manga artists

There are also other jobs available. Please leave me a message if you are interested.

LaserAge

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/laserage/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

LaserAge is a retro game similar to Galaxian and Galaga clones. This shooter features power-ups and is highly detailed, combining nostalgia with 24-bit color. Four levels have 100 waves of ships. Destroy 15 enemies with 13 power-ups. You can play in windowed and full-screen modes; then show off your skills to the world with Web-based high scores. Your ship can be controlled with the mouse, which comes in handy when you're trying to dodge enemy fire. The Gold version features a new interface and a massive list of bug fixes.
Shellcore is a simple tank game made in Torque Game Builder. You control the tank with "w", "a", "s" and "d" and fire shells with the left mouse button. The right mouse button fires the machine gun which is good for destroying RPGs before they hit your tank.

The point of the game is to get the highscore. Challenge your friends and enemies to beat your score. If they are unable, point and laugh at them.

I made Shellcore in order to get acquainted with the new Torque Game Builder. It is currently in beta stages.

Just have a little fun with the game . . . I also appreciate suggestions.
