This game was created for the Retro Remakes competition 2004.

Playing the Game

Ten challengers await, each with ten cookie puzzles. Can you become the cookie eating king?

On each level you will be given a set number of moves in which to remove all the cookies from the puzzle board. The puzzles range in size from 2x2 up to 8x8.

To remove cookies you must make a complete row of column of the same type. This is done by scrolling them up, down, left and right.

The cookies are wrap-around - the one you move off the board will appear on the opposite side.

If all cookies are removed, you will move onto the next puzzle, and if not then you lose a "retry" and must attempt the stage again, or press escape and go back to the title screen.

When the game begins you have ten "retries" and five more are earned for every opponent you defeat.

There are passwords every ten stages, at the beginning of each new opponent.

Sounds simple? Well it is to begin with... But it get a little tougher as the levels progress.

But that's the way the cookie crumbles. Good luck!

Controls

Cursor Keys to move the cursor.
Space Bar (held down + cursors) to scroll a column or a row of cookies.

F12 on title screen to switch from windowed mode to full screen mode, and visa versa.

History

v1.0 - Initial release. Coded for the Retro Remakes Competition 2004.

Mouse Puzzle Remake

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/mousepuzzleremake/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

I remade this Creativision title because I just loved it's concept. The mouse ambles along his merry way, and you control his path by shuffling the tiles around appropriately. Avoiding the hungry cats is also a pretty good idea ;)

Hero Remake

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/heroremake/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Guide R.Hero around the caverns in his tight spandex suit as he endeavours to rescure trapped miners from a fate worse than the Village People.

Is there a fate worse than the Village People? You don't really want to find out so rescue those miners quickly. Or its disco time!

Beautiful graphics and timeless gameplay, and a bizarre amount of spandex.

Final Approach

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/finalapproachremake/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

I loved the idea of air traffic control, but the simulators I tried were too complicated, and quite monotonous. Final Approach is a blend of Air traffic control, and 'Time Pilot'...sort of.
