A majestic Pharaoh dances like an Egyptian. A helicopter spins and whirls in three-dimensional space. The detail on the chopper is so extreme, you can see through its window and into its cockpit. Like a mad scientist’s fusion of Magic Ball and Hyperballoid, Timebreaker features jaw-dropping 3D animated levels. Your mission: Smash them into smithereens with your ball and paddle.

In addition to eye-popping visuals, Timebreaker offers a collection of unique bonuses, including a gravity power-up that gives you control of where the ball goes and a helper droid who’s as cute as he is useful. What’s more, the game is tailored for players of all skill levels; whether you’re a novice or an expert, Timebreaker will entertain and challenge you. Download the free trial version now, and experience the new standard in Arkanoid games.

Rebound

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/rebound/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Rebound is a puzzle game in the same vein as Arkanoid, but with a twist. (Aren't they all?) Actually it's basically a remake of Diamonds, a game I used to play for hours on the Mac. In Rebound, you must change colors to destroy the various colored blocks. Once all colored blocks are destroyed, you can then clear the diamond blocks. Skulls will kill you, but you can grab an overshield to help you along your way. Beware of reversers that switch your controls around, and grab keys to open locks to get into secured areas.

This game has been in development for about a year and is basically complete. The level editor needs to be finished and the rest of the levels completed. I am unsure if I want to release it as freeware or see if someone wants to publish it.

Bust Up

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/bustup/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Poing! PC

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/poingpc/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Poing! PC is a freeware game that puts an innovative twist on the tried and tested style of Breakout. Destroying bricks will not necessarily help since they will keep coming back... instead, the aim is to break a path to the back wall of each level and smash the wall until it fades away, allowing you to progress through to the next level.

As an added twist, if you lose the ball after getting through several levels, you won't lose a life immediately. Instead the ball will plummet back through the levels you've beaten until you either catch it or it goes past the first level of the set.

Fortunately there's a wide variety of powerups to help you along the way, including the Bat Autopilot, Forcefield and Wall Drain. Poing! PC also keeps track of your games and compiles a whole list of lifetime statistics along with per-levelset and all-time hiscore tables - and if you get tired of the included levels, you can make your own with the included level editor.
Now its about the beasties!

Kill all the beasties on each level by hitting them with the ZombieBall, dropping them down or by shooting them with magical rays or cannon balls. It's very fun and a good time spend! Seriously!

In addition to a pure Arcade mode the Salvation mode is offerd in which you have to puzzle a little to figure out how to save just enough beasties and not just kill them off.

Paper Ball

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/paperball/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Paper Ball is a unique remake of the old classic Arkanoid.
