Blastforce is a freeware top-down shooter set in the year 2917. It is being developed with the Gamemaker 6.1 (but may be changed to GM 7.0 in the future). I have been working on the idea behind it for about 10 years (the story behind it was originally written by me as a hobby). Currently, the game is being developed by myself and a friend (with another helping me with my concept artwork). We still have quite a lot to do still!

Features

In the game you will be able to fly a wide variety of aircraft- interceptors, bombers, space-helicopters, and even the odd go on the gun turret. There will also be a number of ground-based missions in the game. The game's graphics are (or will be) in a anime-ish, super nintendo kind of style.

Situation

The game is still in early stages, and newcomers are welcome. At the moment we need:
-Coders
-Pixel artists
-Manga artists

There are also other jobs available. Please leave me a message if you are interested.

Bullet Candy

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/bulletcandy/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Just like Geometry Wars, Bullet Candy has you dodging and firing other space ships in intense 360 degree action. Collect the little space ships and shoot the other ones into tiny little pieces.

Shellcore

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/shellcore/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

 Shellcore Beta

Shellcore is a simple tank game made in Torque Game Builder. You control the tank with "w", "a", "s" and "d" and fire shells with the left mouse button. The right mouse button fires the machine gun which is good for destroying RPGs before they hit your tank.

The point of the game is to get the highscore. Challenge your friends and enemies to beat your score. If they are unable, point and laugh at them.

I made Shellcore in order to get acquainted with the new Torque Game Builder. It is currently in beta stages.

Just have a little fun with the game . . . I also appreciate suggestions.

The long and short of it is, you must save the human race from the relentless alien armada. Combining the sheer joy of blowing things up with the obsessive just-one-more-level of an RPG, this game is ready to spring upon and devour large portions of your life. And your friends' -- Armada supports single-screen co-op for up to four players.

Open Fire

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/openfire/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Load your weapons and Open Fire!
In Glatte you play a ship that must destroy as many dirty alien scum as possible. You have a photon torpedo launcher as well as a heat ray to help you destroy the dirty alien scum. Dirty alien scum are bad. Destroy them.

Glatte is a simple Galaga clone I made for a high school project two years ago. (2005) It's a small download, so just enjoy it on your lunch break for a few minutes.
