TS: Hyperbol is a game viewed Top-Down over a flat playing-field as you take control of a Ship that you customize in order to destroy your opponents. Game Types include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Spawn Capture, Attack/Defend Objectives, and more to be added later with a Map editor.
Your ship functions more like a Battleship, as it is stationary most of the time, a Turret that you can move occasionally across the map into strategically key positions, or simply to dodge incoming fire. The farther you move, the long you have to wait to move again. Or, you can customize your ship to recharge it's fuel rapidly if you wish to use a more active flighty Ship.
There are 6 Weapon modules that will produce the weapons you use. Your factory can hold up to 6 Mods total, so if you want more of 1 type, you have to forgo access to another. Having more then 1 will make production of that type faster, and allow you to hold more in your max stock. Each Mod will produce several different projectiles, for example the basic 'Ballistics' mod will give you access to Energy Bolts, Missiles, and Shrapnel Bombs. Also, once you have build a total of 6 Mods, you have the option to Upgrade 1 of them into a lv. 2 Super version. All the weapons made by this super Mod are either upgraded, or totally new versions of the weapon. As the above example, the Bolts do extra damage, the Missiles become MIRV Packs, and the Shrapnel Bombs become Shrapnel Wedges, which fires all it's shards in a cone instead of in all directions.

Empires and Dungeons

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/EmpiresAndDungeons/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Would you like continent-spanning battles of great armies, or delving through forbidden dungeons looking for treasure? Although the game has primitive graphics, the gameplay is considered very good and the game is loved by many fans worldwide.

There's a strategic and tactical depth that goes unmatched in the small-games-to-play-on-a-break gaming world. Even though the simplicity is striking (anyone can play it) there are an infinite amount of tactics that can be applied in this game.

It takes a minute to learn and a lifetime to master! Be warned though - it's addicting!

King of Dragon Pass

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/kodp/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

King of Dragon Pass is the saga of the colonization of a magical land in Glorantha (RuneQuest/Hero Wars). The Story:

It was the year 9820 when an intergalactic war broke out between the Thydarrons and the Gochectk Republic. Because of the 4190 'Fair Trade And Peace Settlement' , Earth was once again inclined to intervene on behalf of Gochectks. But no-one knew, no-one could have imagined the outcome.

Now 30 years after the attack, the Thydarrons have returned to claim the fiery aftermath once called Earth. Only a small colony of human survivors and their one remaining Battle-Bot stand in the way. These, the strongest and most resourceful of humans, coordinate their defense from a secret military space station known as 'Hugo12c', located somewhere within the old Vegain5 galaxy.

You are 'E-5', a multifunction Battle-Bot designed and created by the human survivors and governed by a highly sophisticated, and heavily armed military satellite (J.U.D.D) under the control of 'L.E.X.' who is the brain of 'Hugo12c' and your prime commander. You have been teleported to an old abandoned transport station on earth where J.U.D.D will brief you on your first mission.

The Main Character:

Evil5, as you have been so lovingly named by your human creator, are a 40th century Battle-Bot who's not only seen a lot of action but has developed a personality all his own. Your multifunction capabilities make you the perfect candidate for almost any purpose. Some of your more signature design specs include a level-8 energy condenser (main weapon) and the newest Hydroplasmalic-Evap technology (your jet-pack).

Not only can your jet-pack send you shooting into the air, it also makes insanely high speeds on the ground just as possible! Unlimited transport beacons give you the strategic edge that your limited energy chambers do not. You'll find these functions to often be more than just fun...you're gonna need them!

Level 1 overview:

In an attempt to prevent any wayward survivors from reclaiming the transport station, the Thydarrons have begun to 'beam down' a series of bombs onto the teleport hubs. Your mission is to disarm these bombs before they EXPLODE, damaging the teleport hubs and making it difficult for the humans to secure the area and impossible for you to ever go home.

The game play:

EVIL5 level 1 is a fast paced, race against time! In this mission your not going to be able to get by simply based on how fast you can unload and reload your weapons...there is nothing to shoot at. Your not the hunter, nor are you the hunted. This mission is brains over brawn, and quite a challenge at that. The time limit comes into play as each bomb is set to detonate in 60 seconds! But don't wait until the last minute, these bombs reconfigure themselves, becoming more difficult to disarm with every second you let pass.

There are 3 pickups that appear randomly as well throughout the game world, 2 of which are essential and another that is simply helpful.

You will find yourself pacing back and forth between the bombs and the required utilities with which to disarm them...but that is where strategy comes into play and where your beacons come in handy. Simply plant a beacon near a bomb, go get your pickups and then instantly teleport back! If stuff does happen to blow up in your face...and it will...simply go to the nearest repair station where nanotron technology will make you feel all better.

Bonus points are awarded for disarming them quickly.

And a special reward awaits those who can rack up enough points to earn higher ranks

Proximity

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/proximity/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

I made this game in 2005 as just a little thing to do in between projects, and it's spread to just about everywhere on the internet that has games and is my most popular game by far.

It takes all the elements in common strategy game and distills them down to their core: competing for territory and having battles. However, in this game, once a tile is placed, it can no longer be moved, only captured, so unlike most strategy games, a game of Proximity is usually over in about 10 minutes. Also, since the rules are pretty simple, it appeals to a lot of people who aren't normally into the big, unwieldly, and complex strategy games out there.

I'm currently working on a sequel, as well as looking for ways to get the game onto consoles, and hopefully a board game version eventually.

Moves

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/moves/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

This is a very simple board game for 2 players (or 1 player versus the computer). Both players get 7 pawns and 1 king on a 8x8 board. The goal is to get your opponent's king or 6 of his pawns. Each turn, the player may select 1 stone and move it straight or in an L-bow. You cannot jump over stones, but you can step onto your opponent's stone to take it. The numbers on your stones indicate the number of tiles they can move in a turn. When the Mastermind option is selected, the stones change in value when you move it. Pawns can get numbers 1-4, while the king only gets 1 or 2. A challenging game!

Setting the Mastermind option (to change the alue of your stones each move) will show numbers on the board so you will know the number you will get when you move a stone there.
Battleships Forever is a freeware tactical Real Time Strategy game that puts you in command of a small fleet of warships in space. Combat and damage mechanics are extremely detailed. Everything is simulated in game if possible. There are no abitrary "to hit chance" values in Battleships Forever. The game also features many innovative mechanics that you've never seen before. For example, the Cronus Battleship sports a Flux Shield generator that allows you to draw a defensive force shield around your ships in any shape you want. Another example are the Deflector modules that are used extensively through the game. These modules make a single section of a ship totally invulnerable to fire. This means that you will have to manoeuvre your ships to attack sections of the enemy ships not protected by Deflectors while keeping your own protected sections facing the enemy. Position is paramount!

Players will command picked fleets made up of Battleships, Destroyers and Patrol Craft. The completed game will include ten campaign missions and multiple skirmish modes.
If no actions where taken this unit only waits half the time for the next turn. Status - Display unit information. Use this to determine the strengths and weaknesses of a unit. You are a group of warriors trying to protect your castle against enemies, make sure you use the tactices wisely to protect your home.
