Constantly taunted and hunted by the AI SHODAN, the player must counter SHODAN's attempts to destroy human life on Earth.

System Shock went on to receive critical acclaim and garnered awards in the adventure genre, despite its mediocre commercial performance. The game's legacy influences game development to this day.
Hunter is to repair the network of a mining complex but fails and ends up in an underground cave world after an explosion. A man called Toadstool finds him and tells F where they are: In an underground world where a computer freak called Hacker has seized power. Left alone by the Corporation, Hunter has to find a way back to the surface all by himself. On his quest he meets Kathryn, a mysterious woman, who sometimes helps the player. Hunter faces many dangers and problems; for instance, when he is confronted by sinister figures in an underground prison colony. Of course we cannot give away whether he finds the suspected lift to the surface there :-)

Deus Ex: Invisible War

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/dxiw/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Fifteen years following the events depicted in the multi-award winning Deus Ex, the world is just beginning to recover from catastrophic depression.
Faithful to FASA's pen and paper version, this game will have you exploring an extensive map in bird-eye view taking missions ("runs") from "Mr Johnsons" and build up your stats. Your party can consist of 3 elements tops, and there are 3 types of characters you can play - samurai, shaman or decker. All in all, the game's open-endedness along with the plot to uncover your brothers' death circumstances make this a game with something for every CRPG fan. Two thumbs way, way up!
