However, you share the same thought with over a thousand other people!

Shopper Rush is a 2D game in where you control a single character in a sea of AI players. Some levels will throw over 1200 AI players at you at the same time and your job is to get from one side of the shopping mall to the other, and be one of the 30 first customers in order to get your long-awaited gadget.

You also have a couple of tricks in order to get there before everyone else does. You can bump into people so they'll fall, you can push tables and other objects in their way, sprint past them or even spin around and make everyone around you fall. Great if you're stuck somewhere!

The basic game mechanics are based on group behavior and flow dynamics. For example; If 100 people are rushing to the stairs, chances are that it will clog up and you're probably better of taking the slightly longer route around it.

The game is a 5 week project at the University Of Skövde and deadline for the game is February the 16:th. It is also participating in the Swedish Game Awards.

Alien Race

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/alienrace/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Animals speak, cars fly and stones get eaten: though all looks exactly like on earth, nothing seems to be normal on the planet Flupglup. So it's no surprise that it is a sport to race an a freeway in the wrong direction and drive against as much oncoming cars as possible!

Alien Race is a funny racing game with a nice cartoon look. Proof yourself in 12 races at three different levels of difficulty! Collect as much points as possible and reach one of the top ranks in the high score list. Collect bonus objects in four different game worlds and dare oncoming cars. But be carefully: if there is no energy shield to protect you, every crash will be your doom.

Asteroids

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/Asteroids/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

 Story:

At 0400 hours, we received confirmation from NASA that an asteroid field larger than any recorded in the history of civilization is headed for a direct collision course with Earth. If just one of these asteroids were to hit Earth's surface, the impact would measure at approximately 50 megatons - 4,000 times the explosive power of the fission bomb used on Hiroshima.

Our entire military fleet is currently at war with the Martians and, as fate would have it, the asteroid field is too far away from Mars to reassign a Commander. You are the only armed ship within reach of the field.

Your mission is simple: Eliminate all asteroids. Our information sources believe gravitational forces have banded the asteroid field into eight waves. This will provide time between each wave to repair your ship.

Scientific analysis has shown the asteroids' outer shells are coated in almandine carconite, a rare, highly explosive mineral which is normally only safe at extremely low temperatures. This means a single shot from a laser turret will suffice to blow the asteroid into pieces, but be warned! The explosion will be so large that you are advised to stay well back. A severe explosion could interfere with your guidance systems, or ultimately obliterate your ship.

The entire fate of the world rests in your hands. Good luck.

Gink in Trouble

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/ginkintrouble/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Gink in Trouble is an arcade game with only one goal: Survive as long as you can! Basically its a single level game built around JumpStart. The Map to play on is randomly selected from a set list (currently 4 maps) and play exists of you trying to destroy all of the enemies on the screen. Some maps are generated procedurely and some are hard coded.

In the relased version sound is supported (turned off by default, turn it on in the options screen). I'll warn you now that the sound can get a bit annoing. Luckily you can press escape, go to options, turn it off, back, and resume game.

Graphics are completely from SpriteLib GPL. If anyone wants to take the time to create real graphics for the game I'd be happy to add them in and add on a credits screen.

UFO Panic!

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/ufopanic/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

<img style="float: left; clear: left;" src="http://static.greatgamesexperiment.com/userimages/6/690b13b26b21c1ef1bf078c2ba16a186_sq.png" title="UFO Panic!
