You play as an ancestor to the vault dweller after he founded a tiny village. You must go on a quest to find a G.E.C.K or Garden of Eden Creation Kit.

Homeworld: Cataclysm

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/homeworldcataclysm/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Homeworld: Cataclysm, developed by Barking Dog Studios (now Rockstar Vancouver), is the first official 'episode' within the Homeworld universe, taking you back to the setting of Homeworld roughly 15 years after the events of the original game ended. Improving upon the Homeworld interface, Cataclysm presents new features such as waypoints and sensor-manager attack commands to add a new dimension to the revolutionary combat and gameplay pioneered in Homeworld.

In the campaign, you begin by Cataclysm commanding a sect - or kiith - that has been marginalized after your people's victorious return to their homeworld of Hiigara. Traveling into uncharted space to repel an attack against another kiith, your fleet happens upon an alien probe that harbors an ancient evil. As events unravel, you will need to survive the onslaught of an enemy with terrifying abilities you can't match, fight off opportunistic Turanic Raiders, and deflect the firepower of Imperial loyalists bent on destroying you and reclaiming Hiigara.

Much as in Homeworld, gameplay revolves around a central command ship, but one that produces an entirely new class of fighting, resourcing and support craft with new technologies and weaponry. The new, robust multiplayer system supports up to eight combatants, each playing one of two very different sides with their own tactical options.

Hapland 2

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/hapland2/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Robin Allen said,
Restore power to the portal in order to...save a princess or something. And he's doing it for the money.

Features

Fantastic two-player Battle Mode

Two new Pikmin breeds

Scenario-based Challenge Mode

Tons of aboveground and underground levels to explore

The colorful, highly addictive Pikmin 2 makes you the master of the lovable half-plant, half-animal Pikmin.

The company Captain Olimar works for, Hocotate Freight, is in big trouble. A deliveryman, Louie, had his payload of carrots hijacked by a ravenous space bunny. Not thinking a ravenous space bunny would appear, the President of Hocotate Freight didn't have an insurance policy on the payload. Now the company is doomed, 10,000 Pokos in the red.

The only way to repay the debt is to scavenge the planet of the Pikmin for artifacts. After you collect 10,000 Pokos worth of items, Captain Olimar and Louie can finally return to planet Hocotate.

The Many Colors of Pikmin

Captain Olimar and Louie can't access the treasure by themselves. They call on the Pikmin to do their dirty work. Pikmin come in different breeds represented by color. Red Pikmin are immune to flame. Yellow can sail high in the air and resist electric shock. The blue Pikmin can swim and crack open rock forms.

Captain Olimar farms these Pikmin via ships called Onions. When the Pikmin defeat a creature, they take it to the Onion, which beams it up and plants new Pikmin for Captain Olimar and Louie to pluck from the ground.

Two new Pikmin, purple and white, evolve from other Pikmin. When you go into an underground level, you sometimes find either a purple or a white flower. You can throw five Pikmin into the flower, and the flower spits out either purple or white Pikmin. You will need to protect both types of these powerful Pikmin because they are in limited supply.

When your sensors detect an object of value, order the Pikmin to carry it back to the spaceship. It's just that easy. OK, it's not just that easy. Finding the treasure is the hard part. You'll find some of the treasure in seemingly inaccessible spots. Other treasure is guarded by nasty, hard-to-kill creatures. And those creatures like to have Pikmin for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Banjo-Tooie

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/banjo-tooie/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Buried under a rock by Banjo and Kazooie in the previous game, Gruntilda the Witch is finally freed by her sister's new machine. Gruntilda wastes no time exacting her revenge, obliterating Banjo's house in the middle of a poker game. Unfortunately, Bottles doesn't believe the warnings to evacuate and is killed in the blast.

Tooie's gameplay is similiar to the first game - a run and bop platformer where you must collect jiggies and notes in order to unlock new areas to explore and conquer. Along the way you will recieve help from Bottle's brother Jamjars in the form of new moves for bear and bird.

Tooie also features new multiplayer modes, ranging from collection competitons to a first person shooter!

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/snakeeater/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

It's 1968. We recently received a new CD-ROM, similar to the one we received from the Phoenix last year. Why did the Phoenix suddenly choose to resurface after all these months of silence, by sending us a new CD-ROM? We are persuaded that the release of this new piece of evidence to the greatest number of people will make it possible to advance the investigation. We thank you for your help, in any form possible, to put an end to the Phoenix’s murderous scheme.

Missing: Game of The Year Edition

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/missinggoty/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Also includes the 13th Victim Expansion Pack and Bonus CD-ROM with the making of and behind the scenes video
