finally got this working on XP, you NEED the 1.02us patch
( think you can try: http://chtserv.dlh.net/cgi-bin/dlp.cgi?lang=eng&sys=pc&file=w3usv102.zip&ref=ps ) and then add to your shortcut "%path%" -wincurs

so eg. "C:\Games\W3\W3.exe" -wincurs
