This organization pushed scientific progress and planetary colonization forward until the human race covered almost the entire galaxy. Ironically, it was the Core's final triumph against mortality that would prove to be its undoing, for when the Core mandated uploading all peoples' brain patterns into machines in a method known as "patterning," there was a massive rebellion from the Arm (named after their location, an arm of the spiral galaxy), an organization which banded together from the edges of the galaxy and demanded to keep their physical bodies. A war like no other began, which has since raged on for four thousand years. The Core copy their finest warriors' brains into fighting robots, and the Arm respond with cloning and powerful manned units.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/BloodOmen/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

In this game you take the role of Kain, revived as a vampire by the Necromancer Mortanius to avenge himself by killing the bandits that murdered him. As a vampire Kain is easily able to kill the bandits. But after doing this Kain finds out from Mortanius and the spirit of the dead Ariel, one of the guardians of the pillars of Nosgoth that protect the world, that the other Guardians have gone insane because of Ariels death and the only way to save Nosgoth is by slaying the guardians.

This is top down action adventure not completely unlike the top down Zelda games, but that's where the similarities end. As the player guides Kain through Nosgoth more and more of the history is revealed. But with every revelation, more questions rise, many of which are not answered until the later installments in the series.

In his quest, Kain obtains many new weapons, special armor, items and tools. But as Kain becomes stronger as a vampire he also gains access to new magical spells and transformations. And through expanding Kains arsenal, the player is able to travel to more of Nosgoth in the quest for the truth that leads Kain not only through the darkest outskirts of Nosgoth, but also time.

Spy Fox in 'Dry Cereal'

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/spyfox/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

William the Kid is attempting to steal the whole world's milk supply, and it is Spy Fox's job to stop him.
Bomberman 64 is the first 3-D game within the Bomberman series.

The game has spawned two sequels on the N64. Bomberman Hero (1998) and Bomberman 64: The Second Attack (2000).

-Story-
In the game's opening sequence, we see a peaceful-looking planet with gardens, rivers, and residential buildings abound. Seconds later, space pirate Artemis drops from the sky with a band of soldiers and orders them to raid the planet. Meanwhile, Altair, from the Black Fortress, uses his coveted weapon, the Omni Cube, to completely drain the planet's energy, condemning it to a zombie-like state.

Artemis returns to the Black Fortress to meet up with her partners, Orion and Regulus, and her superior, Altair. Together they set their sights on their next target: Planet Bomber, home of the protagonist, Bomberman. They maneuver their fortress into the atmosphere of Planet Bomber.

Bomberman, from atop a cliff, observes the Black Fortress' descent. Not much later, the Fortress begins to open fire on the people of Planet Bomber, firing destructive energy rays into populated areas.

A warrior clad in white then flies out to the surprised Bomberman, and asks if he plans to defeat the assailants. Bomberman gives an affirmative response, and the stranger (later introduced as Sirius) explains that a force field protects the Fortress from any outside attack. Sirius goes on to say that this force field can be deactivated by destroying the four anchors attached to the Fortress; the Green Garden, Blue Resort, Red Mountain, and White Glacier. Once inside the Fortress, they must find and destroy Altair.
