You set out into the world of Shinou with the task of catching, training, and possibly breeding strong pokemon. You will need these in order to beat the eight gym leaders in this game, after which you are able to challenge the Elite Four and the current champion to become the new reigning champion.
But along the way you will get involved in the plot of Team Galaxy, who intends to awaken a legendary pokemon. This legendary pokemon, like in Ruby and Sapphire, depends on the version of the game you own. Namely Dialga for Diamond and Palkia for Pearl.

What is the Pokemon Crater Battle Arena?
The Pokemon Crater Battle Arena is an online game where you can catch your own online Pokemon and battle them against other players.

How much does it cost?
Nothing! The game is absolutely free to play.

Will my personal information be viewable to other players?
Only if you want it to be. Your email and other information not directly related to the game is hidden from other members by default, but you may choose for them to be shown.

What are the basics I need to know to play the game?
When you sign up, you'll choose a starter Pokemon. To catch more Pokemon, simply move around on one of the maps until another one appears. You can battle this Pokemon and try to capture it. If you capture it, it will be added to your team and you can use it to battle other people and catch more Pokemon!

When you try to login, you keep getting a message that your session has expired.
This site uses cookies to login to the arena. When the 'Session Expired' page always appears when you try to login, this means that cookies are not enabled on your browser. Change your cookie settings to accept cookies and this problem should go away.

What's the difference between Normal, Shiny, Dark, Metallic, and Ghostly Pokemon?
Shiny Pokemon have 25% more HP than Normal Pokemon and Dark Pokemon do 25% more damage than Normal Pokemon. Metallic Pokemon cannot be effected by status effects (Confusion, Freezing, etc) and Ghostly Pokemon have a chance to scare the defending Pokemon whenever they attack (scaring is another status effect, so Metallics are immune to it).

How do I catch legendary Pokemon?
Legendary Pokemon will appear randomly on the maps once you have beat every gym leader and both sets of elite 4.

Where is (pokemon name) found?
All Pokemon appear randomly on the maps. Different Pokemon are found in the caves maps versus the grass maps, and water pokemon are only found in the water.

How do you switch pokemon in your team with a pokemon in your pokemon box?
Go to the "Your Pokémon Team" page, there should be a "Switch" option, which lets you switch Pokemon. But remember, you need at least 7 pokemon in order to switch. You can't trade or release Pokemon that are in your party, only those that are in your box. If you do not have at least 7 Pokemon, you will have to catch more so you will able to switch them out of your party.

How do I get on the Top 100 Trainers list?
It takes a lot of time and patience to get on the top trainers. You need to have a lot of high level pokemon with a lot of experience, and many, many battles won to get on the top 100.

I forgot my password! What can I do?
If you provided your email, you can go here and enter your username and it will be emailed to you: Forgot Password.

Can I battle my friends and how do I do it?
You can battle your friends in a live battle. Either find them on the map and click "show battles: on" below the map and you'll find a link to battle them. You can also just enter their username on the "Battle an Online Member" page if they are online.

Can I battle other people when they are not online?
You can battle people who aren't online by going to the "Battle Any Member" page. However, their Pokemon will be computer controlled.

What are the stones (ie: Moon Stone, Water Stone, Thunder Sone, etc.)?
These stones are for evolving some of the pokemon that require a stone to evolve. Before you evolve them, you will need to buy the appropriate stone and it will be used when you evolve that Pokemon.

Why are some attacks so expensive?
Attacks that are not normal or share a type with your Pokemon are much more expensive, since if you want an attack that does not match your Pokemon, it should cost more to teach them that attack.

What do the points mean?
The points are calculated from your total experience, average experience, and total battles won. They are the same points as are displayed on the top 100 trainers list and are meant to show your relative progress. Don't be discouraged if they are really low, many of the people on the top trainers list have been here for years.

Pokemon Online

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/PokemonOnline/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Pokemon Online (POL) is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) that involves quests, player personalisation, persistent NPCs, sparring and general exploration. You quickly spot the cards for a Full House and arrange them onto one line to form a hand. That was easy! Ch-ching! Five hundred chips. Now you spot four Kings! That's worth 1,000 chips. You start moving them onto a single line, but it messes up your Full House. OK, a little bit of finesse, and you are able to save both the Full House and the Four of a Kind. Now you notice the clock running down. Do you cash in or take a chance to get more points, maybe losing what you already have? You wonder what kind of scores your friends in your Club have. Will this hand be good enough to compete?
ThinkTanks is a tank combat game designed to be a blast for the new and experienced gamer alike with lighthearted, fast paced pandemonium. Either battling against brain-hungry bots in solo play or going head-to-head against others online, ThinkTanks has something for everyone.

Solo Play

You find yourself in a ThinkTank... just one of many brain slaves imprisoned by Alien Mind Control-- only you have managed to escape their brain rays. But the moment you are free, you are besieged on all sides by insane bot-tanks. You must destroy or be destroyed and keep on your toes at all times. Luckily you can collect powerups that give you wacky weapons to help you stay alive. As you progress through each level, the bot tanks get smarter, stronger and crazier as Alien Mind Control reprograms the bot tanks to match your wits. Your goal is to beat the bosses, then rescue your brain-brethren and continue the fight on other worlds.

Quickplay Battle Mode

This is no-holds-barred warfare and to the victor go the points. You can be catapulted or thrust in any direction by rolling over the boost and jump pads to escape attack or rush the enemy. The lush, green hills are scattered with bots on the warpath, bots choking in their own smoke, floating orbs with special powers and ammunition, boulders, trees, AND the dreaded pit of doom. The goal here is to keep your brain intact, and triumph over bots of every shape, size, speed and skill.

Scrum

You are cast into a veritable feeding frenzy of tanks. You need to simultaneously track the position of your tank relative to the scrum ball using your radarscope, while navigating your tank along the bumpy terrain. If you are quick enough to pick up the ball yourself, you must make a mad dash to the goal, evading the thirsty pack of mad bots heavy on your trail. You win by capturing the most scrum balls in the allotted time.
It was released in 2000 for the PlayStation, three years after Mega Man X4, and in 2002 for PC. This was re-released on January 10, 2006 as part of the Mega Man X Collection for the GameCube and PlayStation 2.

An indeterminate amount of time after the events of Mega Man X4, a new plot to destroy the Maverick Hunters is hatched by Sigma, who has been revived again (as in X4, it is unknown who revived him or how). Sigma, after conducting research on the origin and design of Zero, decides to discover how to unlock Zero's true power, hopefully destroying X in the process. Sigma attacks the Maverick Hunters directly, intending to lose. When he does, he spreads a Maverick virus across the Earth, throwing it into chaos. Meanwhile, a Reploid mercenary named Dynamo is hired by Sigma to make the Space Colony Eurasia collide with Earth. The Hunters have only 16 hours to avoid collision.

X5 was developed by a different team than X4, and this is very evident in the style of gameplay. The most prominent difference in this iteration is the time limit of 16 hours, until the space station Eurasia crashes into Earth. If the crash is not prevented, this does not end the game - it merely changes the course of the story. Every time the player enters a stage, one hour is expended. Due to the nature of the storyline, there are multiple endings to the game. Which ending is seen depends on such factors as whether or not the crash of Eurasia is prevented, and whether X or Zero is used to defeat the last boss.

Cyber Mice Party

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/cybermiceparty/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Rescue all the mice by showing them the way to the cheese.

Minions of Mirth

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/MinionsOfMirth/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Minions of Mirth is a single player game and huge MMORPG with tons of features, all without a monthly fee. It was released in 2001 for the PlayStation. The game was released for the PC in 2003 as well, but only in Asia. The game was re-released on January 10th, 2006 as part of the Mega Man X Collection for the GameCube and PlayStation 2.

The story begins three weeks after the Eurasia Incident - with Zero missing, presumed dead, and the Earth's surface rendered uninhabitable - when a Reploid researcher named Gate, curious about the state of the world, stumbles across the Eurasia colony crash site, where finds what he thinks is a piece of debris and takes it back to his lab to analyze it. A week later, Gate is revealed to have gained tremendous power, and as a result becomes Maverick and begins plotting against the Maverick Hunters.

The gameplay is very similar to Mega Man X5. The player can select X with the option to outfit him with different armors offering unique abilities (most of which have to be downloaded, as always, through Dr. Light's hidden capsules.) Zero can be unlocked after finding and defeating the Zero Nightmare, bringing his own weapons and techniques to the fold, including a refined Z-Saber fighting style. Both characters can be equipped with various items earned after rescuing Reploids throughout every level, boosting their abilities further.

Field Goal Challenge

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/fieldgoalchallenge/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Kick the ball through the goal posts to complete a levels.

Mega Man X4

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/megamanx4/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Mega Man X4 is the fourth game in the Mega Man X series. This game was originally released on July 31st, 1997 for the Sega Saturn in North America. Both the Sega Saturn and PlayStation versions were soon released simultaneously on August 1st, 1997 in Japan. The PC version was released in January 1st, 1998, and runs in operating systems after and including Windows 95. It was part of the Mega Man X Collection for the Nintendo GameCube and PlayStation 2.

Following the third defeat of Sigma, Cain Labs issues an initiative to create a supplementary military force to complement the Maverick Hunters. The army, called the Repliforce, is a strict military regime led by General and his second-in-command, Colonel.

Six months following the inception of the group, Cain Labs finds its methods to be ineffective, questionable, and potentially dangerous in the Maverick defense. To make matters worse, behind the scenes, General has been meeting with a mysterious figure who plots the Hunters' demise, insinuating that they are a "significant threat" to the Repliforce's jurisdiction.

Mayhem breaks out when the Sky Lagoon, a massive floating city, is sent crashing down onto the city below it, killing millions of civilians, humans and Reploids alike. The game begins here where either X or Zero is dispatched to investigate possible causes of the disaster only to become entangled, once again, in a struggle against Sigma to save the world.

At the beginning of the game, the player chooses to play either as X or Zero. Though both of them go through the same stages, they operate differently, and get different challenges from the terrain. They must avoid obstacles like falling debris and spikes, and destroy enemy robots to reach the end of the stages.

X wields a plasma cannon on his arm (X-Buster) that he uses to attack from a distance. It can be charged to fire stronger shots. He can dash to go beneath enemy shots, or also to jump twice as far as he usually can, letting him get to hard-to-reach places. When he defeats one of the eight bosses, he will gain a new weapon for his Buster, which fires an attack similar to one of the boss'. They have limited ammo, however, which is shown by an energy bar next to his health bar. In some stages, X will find capsules that contain upgrades that greatly enhance his capabilities.

Zero is more melee-oriented, and must get up close and personal with his foes. Though he is more prone to being damaged than X, his Z-Saber's power and accuracy compensate. Not all of his moves are weapon-based, so he learns different skills from the bosses, such as ones that increase his movement skills (such as double-jumping and air-dashing). From other bosses, he gains battle techniques, performed with combinations of a button and a direction on the control pad.

X Operations

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/xops/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

A free, fun FPS game with 007 Goldeneye-styled graphics.
