Both players get 7 pawns and 1 king on a 8x8 board. The goal is to get your opponent's king or 6 of his pawns. Each turn, the player may select 1 stone and move it straight or in an L-bow. You cannot jump over stones, but you can step onto your opponent's stone to take it. The numbers on your stones indicate the number of tiles they can move in a turn. When the Mastermind option is selected, the stones change in value when you move it. Pawns can get numbers 1-4, while the king only gets 1 or 2. A challenging game!

Setting the Mastermind option (to change the alue of your stones each move) will show numbers on the board so you will know the number you will get when you move a stone there.

The game bears some resemblance to the game Snake, though in Zatacka the main goal is to make your opponent hit the wall, his kurve or your kurve. As a result, the game resembles closely to the famous Light Cycle of the 1982 movie Tron. You control the kurve by only two buttons: one makes the snake turn left; the other, right.
Description:
Worms: Armageddon is a turn based strategy game in a 2d environment. There is a single player campaign, and training missions to complete; but the main attraction is playing against other people locally or over the internet. Games can be played with 2 or more people. The graphics and sound are very cartoonish, and entertaining.

Gameplay:
Each player starts with a number of worms on their team. Each worm has a fixed amount of health. If a worm runs out of health, it will die. Once you run out of worms, you lose the match. The game is turn based, so each team gets control of one worm during their turn. You have a limited amount of time to select one of many weapons and inflict damage on another teams worm. There are also other more subtle tools to choose from for more strategic play, such as terrain digging tools, girder construction, and ropes and other means to get around the map. Weapons vary from the ordinary guns and explosives, to odd things like exploding sheep, mad cows, and homing pigeons.

There are several other popular gameplay types, with specific rules for play.

Finding online games is easy when you log onto WormNet. It's an irc-like chat interface where you can host or join games.

Albatross18

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/albatross18/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss

Massively Multiplayer Online Golf. Maybe there aren't any nutts left so you can gather them for winter, but your neighbour sure has lots of them. You never really liked him, did you? Take his nutts and add them to your stash!

Nuttz is a game for two players, based on Capture The Flag. Each player controls one of insanely-quick squirrels and tries to run over to his opponents base (middle hollows), steal the nut, and stash it in his own base. You can only carry one nut at a time. If you stomp the enemy mario-like, he will be immobilized for 1 second, and will lose the nut he was carrying. From time to time, like in every normal forest, on middle-top platform spawns magical FreezeGem, which will immobilize your opponent for 5 seconds, he will not lose the nut however. You can use bottom and top hollows for quick transfers between levels. First player to get 10 nuts wins. You see amount of nuts in player1 and player2 bases in top left and top right corners respectively.

Blah Blah. Game is still in development (one reason why it's insanely fast is no framerate independency ;)). Want to add 1 or 2 more features, and then eventually totally rewrite code cause it's fugly.
